Basically the same thing happened to me as many others who have reported their stories.

I was called and told about this great deal. Although I now regret it, I paid a one-time $9.95 fee and received a bonus 1,000 free minutes long distance. I was told that even if I cancelled my plan, I could continue to enjoy this bonus. I paid the fee by giving them my next check number and the numbers at the bottom. I was not informed that they would use these numbers later to deduct money from my account.

I wrote a letter within the 30 days requesting that all services be cancelled. I called 2 days later to confirm this, and asked to make sure that I hadn't been billed anything.

I was told that I didn't cancel my Time subscription, which I didn't want in the first place. I told them that my letter specified all services be cancelled. They told me this request was given after my 30 days.

A couple of days later I noticed that $72.18 had been deducted from my account. A bill came in the after the fact and was very vague at what I was being charged for.

Since that time I have been calling and having to explain the situation over and over again and I was told that a refund request would be submitted. One person said it would take 5-8 business days, another said 30-90 days, and still another said 14-30 days. At one point I was told that my request had been denied. I told them to refile it because I was not going to pay for services that I was not using.

I just want my money back.
