I am a retired woman of 57 years of age living on SSD from depression and a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.  I get easily confused especially on the phone with people who insist on talking right over the top of you.  I received a phone call telling me that I had been chosen to be entered into a drawing for X amount of dollars and would be receiving a couple of special gifts and could choose six magazines to be sent for 60 months for this nominal fee.  I accepted the offer to be entered in the sweepstakes drawing but wished to decline everything else.

What happened instead was that I was asked which magazines I wanted.  As I'm trying to tell this woman that I wasn't interested in the magazines, she's continually naming off magazine titles one after the other.  This went on for several minutes until she told me that she'd be transferring me to her supervisor to make sure everything was correct.

The supervisor comes on the line and goes into a different sort of spiell which is when I get completely lost.  Next thing I know I'm getting six new magazines and being charged a $39.90 monthly fee.  And the worst thing is that I would never read any of the magazines they're sending me in a million years!

I would really like to stop these subscriptions completely or at the very least lessen the total amount of money this is going to cost me.  If it's impossible to stop getting the magazines, I'd agree to do that.
