North Hills Auto Mall Ripoff Dishonest carsales techniques Pittsburg Pennsylvania
A week ago I purchased a 1997 honda accord from North Hills Auto Mall. They told me numerous things that ended up being lies just to sell the car. The car has 192000 miles on it, but he told me that the engine had been swapped and had only about 110000 miles on it. Well I looked up the only owner of the car before me in the phone book last night to ask him some questions, and he tells me NO the engine has never been swapped. So the guy lied to my face and told me that the engine had been swapped.
He led me to believe that i was getting a car with only 110k miles on the engine instead of 192k. I even have a witness who was with me... the guy was definately a swindler... beware of this place and their tactics.
Also, the tires were bald on the insides on the rear tires which he neglected to mention. (not very noticable until you get it home and take the wheels off to work on them).

They know what you are, just as your victims do.
The ONLY rebuttal accepted would be the offer of PROOF that you have NOT been cited, and fined, by Pennsylvania State Police, for violation of auto sales laws.
Be careful, they'll cite you again, if you produce fraudulent documentation.
Signed, The person you've always deserved to victimize.

"After reviewing our records, we never sold a Honda Accord in the time period or year with that amount of miles that he is claiming."
So, it took you six years to "review" your records and figure that out? You do realize that this complaint was filed in 2005, right?
" Under the privacy act, there is no way that he could have contacted any previous owner or had any access to any records or paperwork that would have a customer's name on it."
Well, at least you've proven one thing. You apparently still spew BS to try and bamboozle your customers and potential customers like you did 6 years ago. Privacy Act? Seriously!!! I'm quite certain that you have not only never read the Privacy Act, you obviously don't know what it is supposed to regulate. I expect stupidity and obfuscation from a car salesman, but the above quote is an insult to the intellegence of a special ed student.
Suffice it to say that there are numerous legal ways to find out who the previous owner(s) of a car might be. This person who claims to be in the car business is either lying or unbelievably ignorant. You decide which.
By the way Mr. Owner, I think you would have been much better off letting this six year old report collect dust rather than to reply and show your current potential customers that you are still not above trying to pull the wool over their eyes.

After reviewing our records, we never sold a Honda Accord in the time period or year with that amount of miles that he is claiming. Under the privacy act, there is no way that he could have contacted any previous owner or had any access to any records or paperwork that would have a customer's name on it. We NEVER divulge any information as a courtesy to our customers privacy.
