This company (North Short Agency - NSA) sent me a dunning letter, ostensibly on behalf of "Prevention Magazine" - for a year's worth of issues ($26.94) - which I'd have been happy to pay, had I ever had a subscription.

I called the "hot line" number that was provided in the letter. The number was re-routed to a suspicious new number, where no person answered - but on which was included a message to "press 1 now." Aware of those long-distance phone scams - where the pressing of a number can grant access to your telephone account to whomever is at the other end - I declined to respond, and hung up.

However, I DID contact Prevention Magazine, and made them aware of NSA's activities. I ALSO e-Mailed NSA - and let them know that I had contacted Prevention, and that I was not the only person aware of their nefarious behaviour.
