North Shore Agency, Inc AKA NSA ripoff - collection note re company I have never dealt with scholastic books Westbury New York
I received a collection letter from this agency. It said I owed Scholastic Books $17.93. I have NEVER ordered or received anything from this company!
I called (probably a long-distance number), and was unable to do anything but enter numbers.

Before your bills start piling up and you receive threatening letters about collection agencies, call us. What a novel idea. I clear accounts all day long for customers that didn't receive packages. The phone number is printed on several different places on each bill. For those that don't read them, it is 1-800-724-1818. Just remember when you call that we are human beings. We go to work everyday so we can raise our families and put food on the table. Just be courteous. We can take care of any problems if customers cooperate.

I had the same problem with North Shore Agency as well as Scholastic. I filed a complaint with the FTC. When I advised North Shore Agency that I had filed the complaint and gave them the response that the FTC gave me, they backed off!
Scholastic Book Club is a rip off too!!! I filed another complaint with the FTC today because they are trying to collect money for books I don't have!!
