North Shore Agency, Inc. Sent 2 Collection notice's saying our debt to Xbox Magazine was reffered to them for collection even though we have a current and paid for subscription with the magazine. Then when we called to talk to someone, the only options are to pay the debt by automated service. Melville New York
We have received 2 letters from North Shore Agency, Inc. informing us that Xbox magazine had refered an unpaid debt to them and asking for a payment. Our subscription with Xbox magazine is current and was paid for a month before we got the first collection notice.
When you try to contact NSA by phone, you only get the option to pay the debt via their automated payment system. It is the same way on their web site. NSA only supplies their PO Box address and you cannot find their business in the yellow pages.
After investigating them on the internet, I found out that this is a scam and they have been doing this since at least 2002. I was able to find their actual address, phone number, and company information through Business Week.
