North Star Communications Ltd. Phony Job Scam - North Star Communications Ltd., Mike Bailey, Carlo Bruneau
North Star Communications Ltd. was supposedly a company who hired telephone actors/actresses for party chat lines. They recruited people via ads in the Internet. They promised a pay of $.56 per minute and the workers were supposed to log on to a toll free number to do their work.
Well, almost 500 people were recruited and began working. However, soon the workers couldn't get onto the toll-free number, so they were told to access the system, using a long distance number located in Antigua! They were promised a pay rate to compensate, phone cards, etc. Well, pay day came and went, many people ran up huge phone bills, and/or were waiting for their pay, but nothing happened. No pay check, nada!!
When angry workers attempted to contact Michael (Mike) Bailey, or Carlo Bruneau, who are apparently the two owners, they were told to just put the whole thing behind them, and that no fraud had been committed. Anyone hearing of these two guys or Northstar Communications Ltd., should stay clear. Nothing they say is the truth!! They operate out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, but who knows where they will end up?

I went to a site to look for work at home jobs, and ran across the ad for Northstar. I used the email address that was listed but it was not a good address. That was my first clue. Then I did a search on the internet and found this "Rip Off Report". Thanks for a job well done. I have to give it to you. If it weren't for people like you giving us a heads up, more of us would get ripped off!!
Thanks
