The Better Business Bureau is such a scam! They lie and bully small business's to join singing their praises of customer service and benefits of being a member. What the general public does not know is that the BBB is made up of Sales people who are on as much as 50% commission. We have been members and found out that as long as you go to mediation over a complaint regardless if we win or lose, the complaint goes away for just attending the mediation. Do you think the public would spend the time filing a complaint if they knew that no matter what the complaint would go away for the company as long as the company they are complaining about agrees to mediation? I don't think so!!!

The Better Business Bureau does not keep good records on the companies they represent or the complaints consumers make. On several occasions they have lost important response documentation from our company and when asked about this they were never able to locate some of our records. 99% of the complaints filed are not even read completely as the BBB's main goal is to get complaints off their plate as all they are interested in doing is selling memberships, extremely expensive advertising to BBB members sponsoring their tv and radio ads and logo recognition on websites and any other thing they can think of to suck money out of small business owners. The BBB employees are like used car salespeople saying anything to get your membership money and doing nothing for the public or the small business owners who are backmailed into remaining members even after they find out what a scam the BBB is.

We found out the hard way as we did not want to renew our membership once we found out how their little scam really worked. We were told if we did not renew that the BBB would automatically list negative information about our business and that we would be a target and needed to remain members, continue to pay our membership fee dues and all would be o.k. They are like the moffia, once you join you can never leave!!! I am so sick of hearing about the clout the BBB holds. They are one of the most dishonest organizations on the face of this planet and do nothing to promote small business except to take their money and run! The public is not the only ones being mislead! Beware business owners, you are better off saving your money and investing in an honest customer service staff or law firm to represent you if you truely are an honest business. It is a shame that the BBB is worse than most of the rip off companies out there. Who in the world can you trust these days????? The only thing the BBB is good at is luring the public and business owners into a false sense of security!!! Ethics, what a joke!!! Get smart public!! You don't need the BBB if you listen, read and be aware of what you are purchasing. To rely on a second party to tell you if a business is good or bad is just plain ridiculous!!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
