Complaint Review: Northern Leasing

On April 16th 2004 a gentleman from Legacy Merchant Services in San Diego (and no longer located in San Diego) by the name of Mr. Dills arrived at our offices to explain the different types of credit card processing and the different equipment involved with those forms or processes. Our biggest concern in which we stressed with Mr.Dills was that because we are out in the field regualarly (at different locations) on a daily basis whatever process we went with it would have to be 100% mobile.

Mr. Dills said "he had just the thing for us. And after he explained what a virtual termainal was we agreed that was indeed the best solution for our needs. After discussing exactly how virtual terminal worked and after we had a clear understanding of the virtual terminal I signed what he led me to believe was a standard form to start the process of getting us set up with the virtual terminal. I am absolutely 100% certain that there was in no way shape or form any mention of Nurit equipment on any paper in which I signed. After receiving a copy of what I signed from Northen Leasing we were astonished and thought for sure that we were on Candid Camera or something similar in nature. We still cannot believe that a man of his age would do something like that for a sale. We returned the equipment the same week we got it because we didn't ask for it, approve of it nor have any use for it what so ever.

After making several calls to Mr. Dills, Legacy Merchant Services and Northern Leasing we immediately realized that we had been ripped off. To this day we still get regular calls from Northern Leasing that interfere with our day to day business in an attempt to hold us liable for this mans fraudulant acts!
