Complaint Review: Northern Leasing Systems Inc

Northern Leasing Systems, Inc, - NLS withdrew thousands of dollars from my merchant services account for late fees, and ran up nsf fees, and destroyed my credit. BEWARE! Their customer services reps are rude, insolent, threatening and condescending. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. New York New York

I contracted with Northern Leasing Systems, Inc. a year ago for two credit card processing machines. I signed up for automatic debits thinking it was the most convenient way to go. However, if the account was underfunded, they continually posted the debit payment request to my bank account, running up thousands of dollars in late fees at the rate of $30/day. They caused my account to go NSF repeatedly, which has ruined my credit and credibility with my bank. They also withdrew funds for tax payments and insurance payments that I was not told about.

I sent them a letter discontinuing my automatic payments and requested paper invoices be sent to me via the US Postal Service. I did not receive the statements. Today, I received a faxed invoice for both machines for April 2008 payment, and over $400 in late fees.

I am packing up the equipment and returning it to Northern Leasing, and calling an attorney. If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit in Washington State, I would like to add my name to it.
