The company I used to work for was in the process of getting credit card machine. I was the administrative assistant and they wanted to put me on account only for verification purposes. Salesman representing Northern Leasing asked me to sign an application while my employers where out of town.It was only a blank one page application.I verified with salesman that it was only going to be for verification access and he assured me.The salesman said he would fill in all the necessary information later. A month later my employer receives a letter stating that I had been qualified for the lease.My employer immediately contacted company to correct the mistake and cancel contract.

On February of 2005 Northern Leasing refused.The salesman representing Northern Leasing had falsefied all the information on the application and made me a managing member of the company.Northern Leasing did not care.Northern Leasing withdrew money from my employer's bank under a fraudulent contract.The credit card machine was never used it was returned immediately by my former employer. There where many attempts made to cancel contract by phone by mail and they where refused.My former employer even retained an attorney to try to cancel and it didn't work.Northern Leasing would not cancel contract and after months of late charges they reported a charge off on my credit report.Northern Leasing is now trying to collect from me when I have never received any correspondence from them.I dont even work for the company that tried to get credit card lease any more!

I would think that a reputable company would have cancelled contract immediately.I was misled by the salesman and I should not be held responsible for a company's account.I am not a merchant.I do not own a business.I'm an everyday person that unfortunately signed the wrong paper.It is very conieving how Northern Leasing would not cancel the contract and try to penalize me in the beginning instead of letting so much time go by. Now Northern Leasing is threatening to take me to court if I dont pay. What kind of company functions on lies and harrasment.I may loose to Northern Leasing because I have no one to help me but I hope that someone else will benefit from reading this.

I have filed reports with the sheriffs department in my count,new York BBB, The Ulster County of Consumer Fraud and the Attorney General of New York. I have contacted the legal aid service which was a dead end as well. No one has been able to help me. I don't understand how there could be so many organizations set up to help the consumer and none of them have done crap for me. I don't have the resources or the strenght to fight Northern Leasing.I'm giving up, they won. I cry while I write this because it is such an injustice what they did to me. Unscrupulous bastards.
