This company out of the blue is taking me to collections and ruining my credit and I don't even have a contract with them. They are harassing me and sending me collections letters stating that I can have a SPECIAL ONE TIME SETTLEMENT OFFER AND PAY THEM 233.55 by a certain date and they will release me from further obligations and not give me bad credit. Can you imagine; I have never heard of them before these letters. What do I do??

I'm also a victim. I have personally contacted the Calif. A.G. and am busily working on getting them to initiate a case like the one in Missouri. My daughter worked there so I have a personal in. ABC TV in NY did 2 recent pieces on Northern Leasing. The first one is no longer there, but you can read the text. Things are about to get real nasty for Northern Leasing. I'd be surprised if they were still in business next year.

Regarding your report, since there are a number of us from California that have been "hit" by this business, can we seek justice through the State of California Attorney Generals Office?? Has this been mentioned before by anyone else. The problem on this appears to me to be the fact that they (Northern Leasing) buy the contracts from individuals that lead us astray at our business. I never spoke to anyone in person, it was all done by phone and I never got a complete copy of the contract until this past Feb 2005 (five years after the start of the contract).
By the way, I also am receiving daily phone calls from Northern Leasing now, both automated and personal asking for payment on this lease. I've also received automated letters from them demanding payment pretty much on a weekly basis. I know there are dunning laws, too, I guess it's time to do some homework. Judy in Rio Linda

Northern leasing leases pos equipemt to merchants that buy credit card machines.you must owe money on a lease for a credit card machine. ask for a copy of the contract you signed because they are also known to lie.
they sent me fake information before. I dont trust them at all.get a copy of what you signed and dont mail them your credit card machine even if you dont pay it off it wont help you.theyll keep it and youll still owe the same amount more then likely.
