I have been receiving collection letters from Northland group over the past 8 month stating an Amoco gas card balance. The balance changes with every letter as low $300 something and as high $900 something. The name and SSN is a little off each time, also. I have never had an Amoco card and I have tried to call Northland, but I always receive an answering machine.

Is NCO part of the Northland Group or vise versa? I have a friend that is getting collection letters for a debt she does not owe, but it says Northland Group, debtor NCO.
