 This company is nothing but a bunch of scam artists. When I signed a contract with them, I asked what happens if I sell my home before the contract is up. They told me that they could either pro-rate the fee to get out of my contract based on how much time was left, or the new owner could assume the remainder of my contract. This is not the case at all. I sold my home in August, with only 4 months left on the contract. The new owner agreed to pay the remaining 4 months on the contract as a part of the sale of the house. Northstar told them that they are required to sign a 3 or 5 year contract.

I tried to call Northstar on multiple occasions to get it worked out, and they informed me that if I can't convince the new owner to sign a contract Northstar will automatically renew my contract for 5 years. I no longer own the property, and they continue to charge me every month. I have filed complaints, and had the deduction reversed through my bank, but at this point, my only option is to change all of my bank account information. I have multiple bills that are set up for auto debit, as well as more than one direct deposit. Why should I have to deal with this hassle, when I've tried so many times to get things taken care of the right way. Northstar is just a bunch of scam artists. They are in breech of contract on multiple counts, and I hope there is an attorney out there who will take them down, and refund all of the people they have scammed and lied to.
