On around October 5th, I was called by a Northstar Financial representative and I was told that I was elligible for a credit card with no interest for a one time fee of $199.

I told them they could deduct the money from my checking account on Oct. 15th. I did the math, and decided I wouldn't normally use my credit card that much it would be cheaper to get one with interst and no initial fee.

So I called and finally got throught to the customer service number. I told them to cancel and they said ok but I should put a stop payment at the bank because they were not sure it would get cancelled in time. I then asked if they had a credit card with no initial fee and an interest rate.

The representative told me they did and that someone would call me with the info in a little while. Well, about 1/2 and hour later, I was called back and we were going through all the details, and again he asked me for my bank info. I asked what he needed that for, and he said, well, this card cost $249 but you get $200 back so it is really only costing you $49. I thought about it and decided that that wasn't too bad of a deal.

So, I gave him my info.

My bank statement came and it showed that the first deduction had tried to go through but luckily i put the stop payment on it. But, unfortunatly, the second one did go through, and it was more.

Anyways, i never did receive the credit card.
