This company does great things for kids with special needs. BUT....it's not because of the woman who owns the program. She is slowly ruining her own reputation.
As an employer, Darcy Hupf is vindictive, childish, and simply has illegal practices when it comes to her employees.

When you quit, she will with-hold final paychecks, either partially or completly. She does not pay her employees for their full time worked. She illegaly cancels benefits. She uses business money for her personal expenses. She changes hours on timesheets because she feels like it. On top of all this, she is emotionally manipulative to people who she owes the very success of her business to.

I would never work for this woman again. She has a very high turn-over of employees and if you asked any one of them they would tell you that this is why.

Charges Against Northwest's Child and Darcy Hupf Prove Completely False

#2UPDATE Employee

Sat, February 04, 2006

All concerns expressed by this employee were deemed completely unfounded by Washington State's Labor & Industries procedures. This is a statement written by an employee whose actions on countless occasions while working at Northwest's Child prove the above "rip-off report" to be absolutely false and slanderous. Were any of them true, we would not be celebrating our 16th anniversary as the only non-profit extended day care program in the entire state of Washington serving the needs of children and young adults with moderate to severe disabilities. From top to bottom, our staff is a hard-working, honest, closely knit group of people, and our program is run with only
the utmost professionalism. Without stooping to her level, we will simply say that it is very disappointing to see a former employee take such negative and dishonest action against the program. We would like to strongly encourage anyone interested in applying for a job with Northwest's Child to contact us to see if we are hiring, and if so, to schedule an interview in which your concerns based on the above "report" will be soundly put to rest. Thank you.
