Complaint Review: Northwest Title Loans

Northwest Title Loans Came to repo my car. I went to office ro pay the late balance. I was told they wont accept my payment . They took my car and sold at an auction and now is charging me auction fees and told me they sold my car for 500 only . I borrowed less than 300. My car was worth around 3000. I tried to pay the loan completely off the day they came to repo it. Because the main person there got upset with me, she told me she will not take my payment and is gonna take my car. How is that right or ok? Meridian Idaho

I was late on my title loan payment with northwest title loan. A few months prior, I received a small loan for less than 300 dollars on my 98 Aura 2.3 cl. I was awaken one morning to someone at my door telling me because I'm late on my payment, that they were there to reposes my car unless I went down to the office and caught up on my payments. I went to there office while the repo people waited at my apartment with my car due to fact I was gonna just pay the small loan off. Upon arrival, there were two ladies inside the building when I walked in to pay the loan off. I approached the lady at the counter and told her that they had people at my apartment that were there to take it unless I either caught up my payment or paid the loan off. Her phone rang and she took the call without saying a word to me or acknowledged rather she even heard a thing I said. This frustrated me. I asked her to please put her caller on hold and at least let me know that u heard what I told her. Well, her boss was about 15 feet away from us and yelled at me. She stated since ur gonna be rude, I will not take ur payment and that she was gonna take my car instead. She called her repo people up and told them to take my car. Around a month later, I received a notice stating they only sold my car for 500 at an auction and I owed them over 500 more for there auction fees and the loan after they sold my car. My 98 aura 2.3 cl had over 5000 dollars worth of accessories added to it and was gorgeous. 18" premium wheels, racing suspension, a rear spoiler, and a Flo master exhaust system. I could of easily sold it for $3000. It was a nice vehicle all around. To take it and not let me pay the little amount off that I borrowed, is not fair. And to charge me more than I owed after selling my car at the auction is ridiculous and unfair. I was told by the ladies who came to my apartment that day, if I went to there office and caught up the payments, they would not take it. I feel like my vehicle was stolen from me and I'm being robbed financially.

I see you guys all the time- idiots driving around in junk cars with fancy tire treatments and neighborhood-shaking stereo systems worth five times the value of the vehicle.  Children with driver's licenses.  You get no sympathy here for your juvenile decision-making.  Reap what you sow.

Oh yes, you borrow $300 on an almost 20 year old car, and FAIL to pay it back and it is all their fault.

You apparently had the money as you were able to go right down to the title loan location wanting to pay it off while the repo people waited.  So why didn't you go down before they came?  You obviously knew you had this payment due, after all you borrowed the money.  You obviously had the money to pay it off.

Don't worry about answering and let me help you out as to why you didn't go down before.  You like many deadbeats attempted to gamble trying to delay in paying them as long as possible...and in this case you lost.

But you take the "deadbeat" to another level.  You are able to put over $5000 worth of accessories on your car yet you had to borrow $300.   By the way, the $5000 in accessories is probably the only reason your car sold for $500.  As putting all of that on a almost 20 year old car is like putting Lipstick on a Pig.

So in the end the only one you have to blame in all of this is you.  But if you still really think your car was stolen, why not go down to your local police department and file an auto theft report?
