Symantec is rejecting my $20 rebate stating the UPC proof of purchase was not included. I clearly have a copy of my original submittal form with the UPC and sales reciept STAPLED to the form.  They did this last time in 2003 and 2004. Just to hassle customers and have them give up and pay full price for their sales promotion.  I urge everyone who has been ripped off to file a internet fraud alert write your Congressman and complain through the Symantc internet site. This is fraud and illegal. Symantec got dinged for it before in California and they are doing it again. Next time I'll get WebRoot McAffe or AVG. Symantec SUCKS. I hate this crap. FRAUD SYMANTEC thats what you are FRAUD.

Same thing happened to me about 8 years ago.  At the time I was giving them about $80 a year for an annual subscription update.  After getting stiffed for a rebate I quit them  So far I estimate it's cost them about $700 to $800 in lost subscriptions, all for a $20 rebate.
