Complaint Review: NorVergence

NorVergence rip-off! Have you been given any logical explanation or sales pitch that makes keeping the equipment and paying the lease something of value? Newark New Jersey

I can't believe what is happening with the dissolution of Norvergence. Like all of you, I had a moment's notice to make other arrangements for service. I was contacted by an individual from BB&T Leasing to assure me that they would honor the lease of Norv Capital or D.L.L. , whatever they call themselves. I have found alternative services that don't require any bundling of services or any equipment. As a matter of fact, I will now need to arrange for separate cellular phone service and have only today to do it. I won't have data lines for another week and can only hope that my t1 doesn't go down before then preventing me from access to the internet.

I am really steamed though to hear that I am still obligated under the equipment lease. That's 4 more years at an approximate cost of $15000.00 for NOTHING. NOTHING. NOTHING. I am completely disgusted.

Doesn't it seem to you that as consumers we are entitled to some kind of protection from this kind of theft? I am just a small business. That's what made this so attractive. Now I am losing ground.

I wonder if any of you have heard from BB&T and if you have been given any logical explanation or sales pitch that makes keeping the equipment and paying the lease something of value. I'm guessing not, but this just isn't fair. Can't someone take up our cause and help us?

I am all for beating these lease company's, I don't understand how we can be liable for these payments even though we receive no service. Let me know what I can do to help and I will do it.

Business Owner in a similar situation

I am in a similar situation. I was defrauded by Norvergence into signing their rental agreement and now I am suppose to pay close to $300 a month for 3.5 years for absolutely nothing. There must be a link between Norvergence and the banks who leased the equipment. We need to find out what that link is because the banks MUST HAVE KNOWN that the equipment was worth far less than anyone was paying for it. We need to stand together and simply stop paying the banks.

I am experiencing the same thing you are. I own a small business and now have a paperweight and the leasing company wants to be paid for 3 more years for NOTHING! I posted last night on ripoff and suggested we file a class action suit against the leasing companies as I feel there also a part of this scam. I am speaking to attorneys and looking for individuals/companies that want to be a part of this. All interested parties please advise.
