Complaint Review: Norvergence

Norvergence RIpoff Fraud Newark New Jersey

Norvergence has issues on so many levels it is hard to know where to start when talking about Norvergence.

Norvergence sells their "Rental" agreements to banks. While most state laws will void the contract when Norvergence does not preform (they are all ready starting a decline, just try calling their customer service line and see how long you hold) this still puts the burden on the business to sue the bank to get out the agreement. Remember, Norvergence is out of the picture on the rental agreement.

Don't buy the hype from Norvergence on the $10 or $15 per month cell phone. They are just taking total telecom usage, plugging them numbers into a proposal generator, assigning a low number for the cells and putting the remainder of your cell usage into the "Rental" of the Adtran box.

Norvergence is selling the T1 portion for $79. That includes access for the RBOC. Has anyone seen a T1 at these prices from a legit company? Norvergence lies to everyone. Employees, customers, Vendors.

When you hear the name Norvergence, run for the hills.

I will post more about Norvergence at a later date. Being an employee for Norvergence I can give great details.

I think everyone at Norvergence is just waiting for the hamer to fall.

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, April 12, 2004

I posted here last year and I'm responding to
Patricia's rebuttal to Frank's report. I have these points to make:

(1) It's Frank right not to give out his last name
nor other identifying information about himself as
it's well known that companies conduct reprisals
against whistle blowers. Frank should be commended
for making his posting (not that I care to know, but notice that Patricia doesn't give out her last name - I also want to point out to this website's
passerbys that Ripoff Report does get more
information such as a last name and a phone number
before allowing a posting).

(2) The issues about selling off rental agreements
to banks and what's brought up in Frank's third
paragraph haven't been addressed by Patricia.

(3) When Patricia says, "Readers should be wary of anyone who purports to work for Norvergence and then is eager to disparage the company.", that
advice would also apply to Patricia herself. I
find it strange that someone from Human Resources
would respond on Ripoff since there are no human
resources related issues in Frank's report.
Normally it would be public relations who would
respond and if they do, it wouldn't be on Ripoff.

(4) To add on to my third point, there are a total
of nine reports to date filed on Norvergence with
specific, detailed information that gives us an
insider's report on Norvergence's operations.
Having first-hand knowledge on how Norvergence
keeps its promises, I'm ready to believe Frank
over Patricia.

(5) The public doesn't need coaching from Patricia
about being wary. The public is sophisticated
enough to be able to sort through the evidence to
determine what's actually going on.

I'll be keeping watch for future updates on
Norvergence.

On Feb. 02, 2004, our company received a sales call that showed up on our Caller ID with unavailable name. We asked them not to call again and asked them the company name (which they did not give us). We tracked the telephone number to NorVergence and found their website. We sent them an e-mail requesting that we not be contacted again and that we do not accept sales calls.

Today we got another call from the same telephone number. We would never consider hiring a company who cannot follow simple directions.

The Real Facts About Norvergence

#4UPDATE Employee

Thu, April 08, 2004

The inaccuracies about Norvergence are an unfortunate side effect of the success, growth and continued refinement of the company's business model. For the record, Norvergence is a telecommunications provider offering customers drastic reductions on technology costs. We are able to cut those costs because our company is the largest reseller of cell phones in the country and we offer the lowest wholesale rates out there to customers. Other carriers offer cell phone plans from $19.99; Norvergence has plans for dollars less at around $15 or $16 another sign that Norvergence is ahead of the competition and offering a more cost-effective product. It is not unusual to sell at prices lower than the competition, it is merely a sign of the strength and breadth of our offering. Additionally, Norvergence is the fastest growing reseller of T1s in the country. On average, T1s cost less that $100 for lit buildings and the price increases based on facilities and distance from the central office.

Norvergence rental agreements are only offered to credit-approved companies firms that will be around long after the rental term. Since Norvergence provides free and unlimited local, long distance, 800, cellular and Internet, saves companies 30%-60% savings off of what they were previously spending and offers customers an opportunity to find lower quotes once a year that we will then match, companies should be concerned with how they can get approved for this cost savings solution, rather than planning on how to get out of it.

Readers should be wary of anyone who purports to work for Norvergence and then is eager to disparage the company. Frank has provided no identifying information, given his title or department and, in fact, has only voiced his own suppositions about the company. If he is so dissatisfied with Norvergence, I don't understand why he remains employed here.

Norvergence is currently accepting applications for the MATRIX suite of applications in 32 cities across the country. We look forward to doing business with you soon.
