Norvergence Ripoff: Never received check for hours worked plus OT Newark New Jersey

I never received my last check when the company decided to shut down w/o prior warning. I was pregnant and alone at the time and no money in my pockets. The day I went to see if we were to get paid, the offices were shut down and no one in sight. A security guard gave me money so I can buy something to eat. It was a horrible year of which I am still trying to get over. I did file a report and I received a letter stating the board would be in contacting w/ me after norvergence was scheduled for a meeting w/ the creditors in august of 2004. Have heard nothing since. I'm not sure what the statute of limitations is on a case like this, but is there any way that I could EVER retrieve money owed to me?? I would appreciate any assistance.

As an ex-emp of norvergence, when it became clear what the company was about I quite. I have not talked to a singel person that worked there that told me they had no clue. But many, like you, want restitution when you participated in a fraud.

I'm one of Norvergence ex-employees also who did not receive a paycheck. During the week before being told about the shut out I worked countless overtime hours. It seems to me all the important creditors owed countless thousands of dollars are being paid from the bankruptcy case. What about the employees who were robbed a paycheck to pay their rent, mortgage, buy food, utilities, car payment etc. It's going on three years I don't think anybody care we the little guys were also not paid.
