I had recieved an e-mail from Norwest Financial Inc. that I had been approved for a $5000.00 loan. A lady named Brenda Moore contacted me to tell me all about the loan process and all the documents that was needed to finalize the loan.

While going over the loan papers we looked up every company and person we were dealing with and even called the BBB to find out to see if the company was a good one. We paid the $400.00 down to secure the loan on Friday Feb.16,2007.

We was told the money would be on our account by 7:30p.m. that day. But the money never came. We gave the benefit of the doubt and even waited until after the holiday. But on Tuesday some 4 days later still no money.

When we tried to contact Brenda Moore she could not be reached. So we tried the Customer Service line trying to talk to anyone. But all we got was a rude man named Fred. He was short with me and my husband and even hung up on us. When we called back he informed us that everyone was on break and would be there until 9:00 that night.

After we got this information from him we called the Money Gram number where we had sent the money to find out if it had been picked up. And the money was picked up later Friday night but it really did not do us any good cause we could not get anything back at this time. If there is anyone who is working on this please contact me so I can recoop some of my money and stop these people from doing this to more victims.

Chartwell Funding/Financial. They "approved" me for a $5000 loan at 11% interest (Because I have bad credit) and they wanted $450 as a deposit for insurance or in case I got injured or was late making a payment. I felt that it was a scam and called them and asked why they were asking me for the deposit and if it could be deducted from the money they "approved" and the lady couldn't answer it other than saying that they needed the $450 deposit. I continued telling her to deduct it from the money they were going to give me and that instead of giving me $5000 to give me $4550 and she kept refusing.
I also told her that I checked the company on the BBB site like they mention on their homepage that they are listed on the BBB. So I did check and they do not have good reviews.
I told her that and asked her why put something indicating that you have good rating and when fact you do not have a good rating. She said, "we donot pay to advertise on the BBB'. So why mention it on the page?
Another thing was that according to the BBB that company is out of Canada and that they laws in Canada prohibits companies requesting a deposit on a loan. They are operating illegaly!!!!
Good thing I didn't send them any money.

You got scammed. No legitemate lender would require a payment from you to secure a loan. Kiss that $400 goodbye...it's probably in Nigeria now.

Weren't you suspicious about an e-mail that came to you out of the blue?
