A warning to parents of Norwich University students. Be VERY careful on the funds you send to this University. Any student loan, scholarship, grant money will be held by this University as long as possible. They will lie and state that the "check is in the mail", when in fact it was NEVER SENT. They will DELAY DELAY DELAY getting any funds due you. (Usually in the 1000s of dollars).

They take more than SIX WEEKS to update student accounts and activity, and then most is not posted with dates. The Bursar, himself, is about 100 years old, and getting a response is nearly nil. Meanwhile, your student is being CHARGED INTEREST on loans, which the student's don't have access to the funds. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!

Additionally, Norwich University had to pay $1.3 million to the United States Department of Education for student aid fraud.  Feel free to search that lawsuit against them. I would seriously think twice about sending your student to this university, and I'm not even going to mention questionable accreditation from this place.  The tuition alone is three times or more than your in-state university, and it is a waste of money. I am not disagreeing with anything you said. The only thing I want to point out is that the money from financial aid which is charged the interest is NOT the real issue in your report regardless when the student gets it. It has no impact on the loan amount itself because the student still has to pay the same amount. The only inconvenience is that the money gets to the student's hand late and may cause budget difficulty.
