Notary America ripoff Fraudulant business practices They take the money and run Tucson Arizona
I accepted two closings for Notary America and both were far distances from my business. One in June and one in July , 2004. After repeated requests for payment, constant hedging by whichever girl answers the phone and refusal to let me speak to Lisa, the manager. I have no where else to turn I have never received any payment.
THey owe me $200 which by the looks of all the complaints, I will never receive. I spent many hours for them and have received nothing in return.
The lender is Finance America out of Chicago and I am wondering if contacting them will help.
Notary America will not receive any more free work from me.

I will contact the title company tomorrow. THey are out of Chicago. I appreciate your suggestions and offer to help Angela. I am not sure how we would contact each other if need be without posting personal info here. But I will give it a try. I just assumed the title co. would only deal with the signing company.

Former Courtesy signer offers suggestions

Bonnie, as a former courtesy signer I have a question. What title company handled the paperwork? While you should be paid by the company who contracted you, there is usually and almost always a title company who performs all the title work and escrow services. That said, title companies are anxious to resolve issues that may result unfavorably for them, whether it be avoiding a lawsuit or avoiding bad reports with the better business bureau. As a resident here in Tucson, if there is anything I can do to help you, please express you wishes to do so and I will see what I can do on my end. I worked in title and escrow for 13 years and have been a resident of Tucson for 30. I know the town and am familiar with the business. I'd be willing to say I probably know the title company who handled this or worked for them for that matter. Contact me if you'd like more information or help.
