Nouveau Riche Corporation Ripoff! Fraudulent, deceptive and misleading selling practices. Scottsdale Arizona
If you are thinking about or considering a so-called "business opportunity" within the Nouveau Riche Corporation... better think again and detach yourself from any further involvement with said group. Perhaps I could clarify.
Very few people ever achieve the 60 to 90 day return of investment tauted by this company. If you happen to be contacted by Pat Gillespie, immediately divest yourself of this person's deceitful sales practices.
Nouveau Riche diguises itself as a legitimate Corporation but is nothing more than a carefully constructed veil for an MLM. Coercion of new enrolling scholars is prevalent lending to their preference to validate their deception.
A hand picked "Board of Regents Scholar," Pat Gillespie, has continually violated the "Code of Ethics" and regulations established to govern all colleagues... set forth in the "Colleague's Manual".
When presented undeniable and irrefutable evidence provided by numerous and varied colleagues within the organization as to the practices of misrepresentation, deceit and fraud by Pat Gillespie, the governing body, "the Board Of Regents," was not advised as to these allegations and accusations. We were told they would be making the decision about Mr. Gillespie's fate. After numerous calls we were then advised that there was no need to take this to the Board, but instead just one person in management would contact us. This contact never transpired!
The Board of Regents and CEO of the Nouveau Riche Corporation, by their inaction to resolve these serious and numerous allegations as presented with subsatntiating evidence by numerous colleagues, fully support and condones Pat Gillespie's fradulent and deceitful actions.
Assistance and training has never been provided. Well-known celebrity investors names are used to induce naive investors into the scheme they call "Nouveau Riche".

I am currently doing research for the company Nouveau Riche. I'm a bit irritated by both sides of this discussion. I see a lot of opinionated facts and a lack of support for these opinions and so called facts. Here are a couple issues I am dealing with in regards to this discussion.
1.) Baseball is a rip-off. Everything sounded good up to that analogy. Public making points based on the relationship to Pete Rose and baseball is false. Baseball is not a rip-off because I don't invest into Baseball; therefore it's not a rip-off. It can only be a rip off if you these elements are present.
- A theft.
- A thief.
- An act of exploitation.
- Something, such as a film or story, that is clearly imitative of or based on something else.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rip-off
Since Pete Rose didn't steal from me "Directly" then I'm not ripped off. I wasn't exploited due his actions so again, I'm not ripped off. The only reality is that Pete Rose did what he did defile on his character and not the organization. His actions produced a scandal more than a rip off. http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761565258/pete_rose.html
2.) Sour Grapes, carefully review all the facts. Please let people know what it is and not that it requires hard work:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&defl=en&q=define:DIRECT+MARKETING&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title
Also, all of your facts need to be supported. So before I can believe your facts, please give some sort of reference to validate your statements. I have a problem with their lack off information provided on their website. http://www.nouveauriche.com/
TOO many contact this person for this, and contact that person for that. If I want to view press releases for a company I don't want to email Jane and wait or hope for a response, I want to view that content immediately; if a company is proud of their service they would fly those colors boldly.
I want content rich information. I need to be able to download boatloads of information from their website or at least view it. I may be wrong but I can't find one downloadable .pdf to save my life. Unlike University of Phoenix where they provide tons of information on their programs and classes. SO if this is a course I'm taking or school I'm attending, I want to view the programs classes and summaries of what I'll be learning. Like this: http://www.phoenix.edu/online_and_campus_programs/online_and_campus_programs.aspx
3.) Nouveau Riche Corp. Deceptive Selling Practices....THE FACTS.... your conclusion is in the middle. Perhaps your statements would have held more weight if put the conclusion in order, like say the ending....
. The close or last part; the end or finish..http://www.thefreedictionary.com/conclusion
The big words don't impress me and I'm sure many others either. If you want to badger somebody and do it right, use their words against them. I learned again, opinion vs. opinion is nothing without facts. But where are the facts coming from? At least support your opinions. Here's a reference for everyone...http://mcckc.edu/longview/CTAC/opinion.htm
4.) Rebuttal from Board of Regents Member
Ok nice words and good rebuttals and awesome information but again no references. How can I take your word for it? Now MLM Company Nouveau Riche may not be. I do believe it should be more considered a franchise opportunity.
b. A business or group of businesses established or operated under such authorization...
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/franchise
If at fact each person is considered an Independent Sales Contractor. Then I believe it holds more weight to call this franchising. You can purchase a Franchise and like many of those opportunities are not guaranteed. You are solely operating under the umbrella of that corporation and your financial gain is based on a few elements.....
Why do you have a business?
What direction do you see your business going?
How are you going to achieve your goals?
How much will it cost to reach your goals?
http://www.yourbusinessroadmap.com/Four-More-Elements-For-Your-Business-Plan.html
I think that's simple enough.
Anyways, this is not to badger everyone on this site or this thread alone, but I think in order for anyone to take your opinions into consideration I think it would help others more if we can research off your statements and basically see for ourselves based on your "supported" opinions.
After reading this rip-off report and everyone's rebuttals, I still stand at a neutral position because no one gave any concrete evidence or supported factual opinions.

I have met most of the people posted above face to face (Val, Zhaun, and Bob) and on numerous occassions.
Val...You're a nice guy, but you and I know that you don't know that much about real estate and that you're making FAR more money marketing the product than you are from real estate investing. Real estate investing is easy when you're making 70% of 16K every time you sell the product to some unsuspecting hopeful and then you use that money to put 20-30% down on a property. How does that help the people that can't sell the product because they don't feel it's ethical, and have little money ($16k less now) and so so credit???
Zhaun...You knew your way around the block regarding real estate BEFORE you got in with Nouveau Riche. Why do you act like they taught you everything??? You learned it just like I did. However, back then you'd share information with other people even if you didn't make thousands of dollars off of them. You were a nice guy then. What happened? Meetings, books, networking...it worked for you, why can't it work for others? After your newbies pay you $16K they still have to learn that stuff. Haven't you realized that the people who taught you about real estate don't think very highly of this company (I'll leave their names out of it). You've nearly led the company in sales several times too. A little bit of bad press might hurt your business. Go back to making money from real estate and not from marketing. You say you're making $1000 per month from real estate....how much are you making from selling the program?
Bob...You're high enough up in the program that you get a piece of the action. You say you're only an independant contractor???
http://www.inwiththenew.com/ (click education --> faculty) you're listed as a FACULTY member. Independant Contractor referes more to how they make out your check than it does to your affiliations. You're deeply vested in this company. And if that's not enough click on "About us" --> "Founders". A Founder, Bob...that's quite different than just an independant contractor. It also says you're a "partner" and a "co-founder" or "the general" It also says you are one of the top "income earners". This is from marketing, not from real estate earnings. You've got a LOT to lose from bad publicity, don't you Bob?
Let's see....weren't you number one in the company for SALES once or twice? What was the prize....a Hummer for a year as I recall?
Does this look like they're pushing a product or a pyramid???
http://www.getfreereport.net/mlm/
In my neck of the woods they have signs up that say something to the effect of: "If you didn't make $265,000 last year, call..." They don't make that much money from real estate...they do make that much from selling the product to suckers.
Look at who is defending the company....it's people who make a killing off of selling it!!!
Treat the purchase of this program like you would a brand new car (it is $16k afterall....and that doesn't even include travel, air, and hotel to the seminars that you purchased). Talk to people. Look at other programs. Go to the library and get some of the free stuff. There are red flags regarding this company everywhere. If there weren't, wouldn't they give you a better return policy (3 day return policy on a seminar that you won't go to for 5 months). Come on. These people make money off of you buying their program. They encourage you to do the same. It's like a game of musical chairs, with cash, rather than people going in a circle. And I know MANY others who have been burned....at their loss, but to the gain of Val, Zhaun, Bob, and others just like them.

Here are the Facts about the alleged
"Fraudulent Deceptive and Misrepresentative Selling & ripoff Practices of NR"
1. All the Nouveau Riche ( NR ) info states that this is not a business opportunity and that no guarantee or income claims are given.
Anyone who does not believe this, then do what I did and call the 24 hr presentaion line at 212-990-6190 #1 or watch the online show at www.inwithenew.com/presentation to see the same thing that Steve and Jonathan saw and you decide just like I did.
2. In ANY company in the world the top 5% make more money than the entry level folks. I know many who make more than 6 figures a year. There is no limit to what you can make by the company rules that I researched in Great Detail.
3. The company's main objective is to teach New Investors and support seasoned ones. The income opportunity is only offered to the colleagues who are trained by working with a mentor who helps them get 2 training sales, my research proves to be factual.
4. When you buy all 3 products the cost is NO where near $30K, its under $16K
5. The company has a person named MR. Peterson who handles complaints in a serious manner I found he was very helpfull in all apects of my concerns. Also saw they were resolved.
6. There is NO investment of ANY kind required.
NR markets Educational products end users can buy to further there investing knowledge. That is the customers choice.
If you want to be a colleague of NR, there is a one time AT cost of $75.00 for a Out of the Box starter kit which I saw you can order on line with the assistance of a colleage.
7. The companny is Direct Sales, Not MLM. You are free to offer the products to whom every you desire.
8. The company offers a "Master Mind" live training call 2 times a week as well as Mon-Fri 8am - 6 pm access with RE experts manning the lines for WBS system owners. My Reseach shows that to be the entry level product they offer. The individal products I price out are worth 5 times more than the NR retail price I was surprised to see that much value.
9. Lead Generation is limited to the colleagues imagination according to the independent colleague guide a company Rep furnished to me upon my request to review it LINE BY LINE. Suggestions were given, but not told you had to do them I saw.
10. The products to my reseach show they are under valued. The company has low overhead and markets thru INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTORS. They are albe to pay them a 60% profit margin because of this.
When I called the company on this, they said this was the truth, and even though they have a ZERO tollerance for non-compliance, sometimes Good Things will attrack bad people.
I spent a great Deal of time getting to the bottom of All sides of the story and found Nouveau Riche to be a Very High Quality company.
It seems some of the independent Reps they had in the early days tried to be over anxious in their selling pratices.
The conclusion for me after all this Due Dillegence was I made the decision to purchase all 3 products for my use back in Aug of 2004.
My Resutls were wonderfull. I am glad to have read the complaints logged in by Steve and Jonathan.
I was so surprised to find out how much of what was said could not be farther from the true facts.
I have concluded, many people will blame their lack of success in life to someone else instead of taking responsibility for their own lack of effort.
I hope the facts as my Research turned up is helpfull for you and your decision to move forward with what appears to be a very solid and upcomming company.
Very Kindly,

Nouveau Riche is not a scam

I got involved with Nouveau Riche back in June 2003. I was never promised anything from the meetings I attended, and I attended approx. 20 meetings last year. There was never any mention of a 60-90 day ROI of ANY sort. I know that there are not "thousands" of members, but instead hundreds. Last I heard, it was somewhere in the neighborhood of approx. 800 members.
The products do not cost $30,000. The most expensive level is $8995. All 3 levels of educational courses add up to $15,685.00 There are no additional "fees and expenses" charged on the products.
I paid an additional $75 for the ability to market it to other people. I now have several people "under" me, all of them 100% satisfied. This expense is not mandatory, it is optional.
I bought the "Masters Symposium" ticket ($4995), and attended the seminar in Las Vegas NV in January 2004. I was extremely impressed with the information during the 3 days, and it was worth every penny. There were 2 very famous and well-known speakers there, Dolf DeRoos and Ron LeGrand. Anyone in Real Estate investing knows what powerful programs and companies they operate.
I am not sure where Steve got his figures from. I did not attend the same meetings that he did, but I honestly wouldn't think that there would be promises made of six-figure incomes and 60-90 day ROI's. There must have been some sort of mis-communication. If Steve was truly "promised" anything, the individual (Pat Gillespie) should be held accountable, not Nouveau Riche.
I personally got enough people involved to pay back my original $4995 investment, and then some. And it took me less than 6 months, without formally "marketing" the business. Just simple word-of-mouth.
I can say that those who work very hard in this business, have made, and do make that kind of money, and in that short of a timeframe. I personally have not pursued it (the business end)that agressively. I have friends and family members who bought the same package I did, and they are ALL very happy with their "investment".
Nouveau Riche has afforded me the opportunity to build a million-dollar Real Estate portfolio in less than one year! I am not upset in the least bit with their services. I have one Real Estate deal that has a 500% ROI, and another one with a 3580% ROI.
I think it is fair to assume that the claimant heard what he wanted to hear, and because he is a bad businessman, he lost money, and was not able to build a client base. He is not alone, I know a lot of people who are just flat-out bad salesman. You can hardly fault a company for the actions (or the lack thereof) of one, or a few individuals.
This business is what you make of it. You don't get the opportunity to go to your mailbox and start collecting checks out of thin air. You have to know what you are doing, and be able to sell to people. Simply having seminars at hotels does not gaurantee that you are going to make tons of cash. Steve, you should have been smarter than that.
I wish you the best, it's too bad that you have such a slighted opinion of the company, instead of directing your anger at it's rightful place: the individual.
Nouveau Riche is an awesome company, it has changed many many lives. I can personally attest to that, I have seen it with my own eyes. This company is not a scam, it is the real deal.
If Pat truly did the things he did, I hope that he is held accountable for his words and actions. I would encourage you Steve, to think next time before you point fingers.

Now that Bob Snyder, Board of Regents Scholar with the Nouveau Riche Corporation has been so kind as to shed light on these allegations, I would be most glad to respond to his accusations. I'm so very glad that The General as Bob is known in the Nouveau Riche Corporation, and is the most heavily endorsed representative, would take the time to address some of the issues at hand.
#1). The reference to the Starter Kit that Bob speaks of is actually accurate in disclosing the cost of $75.00. There is no product purchase or any other purchase required at any level of participation beyond the starter kit and that is not even necessary in North Dakota. As Mr. Snyder so very well knows, after his supposed investigation of the matter, all the colleagues involved have specifically disclosed the FACT that this was not presented to them within the context of Mr. Gillespie's sales presentation. This FACT has been most conveniently omitted from Mr. Snyder's response.
#2). Mr. Snyder attests to the FACT that I and numerous other colleagues have been contacted in order to obtain proof of the allegations levied against Mr. Gillespie. Mr. Snyder conveniently neglects to inform the reader that after initial consultation with the CEO of the Nouveau Riche Corporation, I immediately gained Legal Counsel in the matter and was strongly advised NOT to provide this information at that time. Mr. Snyder again conveniently omits that I also informed him of this FACT upon our initial consultation in Denver. Also Mr. Snyder conveys that Jonathan could not provide anything other than a he said/she said type of debate. It was not that I could not provide the information requested, it was that I was strongly advised by counsel not to. I also trusted the Management to resolve this issue fairly and provided every opportunity and adequate time for them to do so. Again, Mr. Snyder wishes to diminish the severity of the allegations presented by numerous colleagues against Pat Gillespie by personalizing the enormity of the transgressions submitted for his investigation by numerous colleagues. Rather than subscribing to the he said/she said theory, Mr. Snyder would be much more accurate to truthfully state the FACT, ie THEY SAID/ HE SAID!
#3). It is very true that I met with Mr. Snyder in Denver in regards to this matter. He most readily asserts that I flew from my home in Utah to Denver for our meeting. The readers of this forum are led to believe that he flew all the way here just to have an appointment with me to investigate the matter further. The FACT of the matter was that he and other representatives of Nouveau Riche Corporation had a scheduled sales presentation at the same time to increase the enrollment of the Nouveau Riche roster.
#4). Mr. Snyder continues to try to diminish the allegations against the Nouveau Riche Corporation submitted by numerous other colleagues in labeling them as Jonathan's supporters even after they personally stated to him that I am certainly not the focal point of these allegations, and that they certainly did not require my assistance in bringing this matter to the attention of Corporate Management. This constant assertion as me being the ringleader of a group of disgruntled colleagues was first postulated in Mr. Gillespie's rebuttal to the many and numerous allegations and charges presented to Company Management, and continue to resonate in an attempt to purvey these charges as my personal vendetta. Mr. Snyder conveniently and continuously omits the FACT that
numerous colleagues involved are from both the United States and Canada, and ALL levy the same charges against Mr. Gillespie.
#5) Mr. Snyder asserts that I personally attest to the fact that Nouveau Riche went above and beyond the call to remedy Jonathan's issues. Again Mr. Snyder skews the allegations and tries to impress upon the reader that the allegations presented are Jonathan's issues, subverting the FACT that there are numerous colleagues involved in these proceedings. Here are the FACTS
Upon initial submission of documented letters from numerous colleagues within the Nouveau Riche Corporation, we were told that the information would NOT be handled by the CEO. We were told that these proceedings would then be investigated by Mr. Bob Snyder and the Board of Regents. Upon your initial contact with me, (taped and recorded),you Mr. Bob Snyder, Board of Regents Scholar, conveyed to me that the Nouveau Riche Corporation and yourself, admitted that there was a serious problem with Mr. Gillespie and that you would resolve the matter in conjunction with the Board of Regents. You also stated to me and other colleagues involved in the matter that, and I quote, Mr. Gillespie is in complete denial . You communicated to me and other colleagues the company has reservations about firing Mr. Gillespie as he would in turn file a wrongful termination lawsuit against the company. You also subverted the FACTS to me and other colleagues by insisting this was an isolated incident involving two or three people, when in fact there are many.
After 8 weeks of trying to have the matter resolved, and after several attempts to contact you do you remember the scheduled appointments that you didn't even bother to return my phone calls, and after finally making contact I inquired as to whether the Board had come to a decision and you informed me that there was no need to inform them? You informed not only me, but other colleagues that you and the CEO would meet with Mr. Gillespie on January 1st at the Masters symposium and present him a final ultimatum or ask for a resignation. Oh I see Mr. Snyder, again something you conveniently omit. Do you remember telling each of us that you would contact each of us after the Master's Symposium to let us know the outcome? Perhaps you might explain to the reader why none of us has ever had contact with you after that date after numerous attempts. Just let me know Mr. Snyder, and I'll be more than happy to send you the tape.
Now, in your terms, let's shed light on what the Nouveau Riche Corporation has done to remedy OUR concerns. A few of the colleagues have been contacted in regards to this matter, not all. The Nouveau Riche Corporation, in admission of allegations, has offered a few colleagues the cash settlement of $5,000 and a Non-Disclosure agreement with the stipulation that they cease and desist, which prevents any further legal action against the Corporation. The initial investment of $15,685.00 at the Regents is divided between scholar and company. The company is given $5,685.00 for the products and the scholar is given $10,000 for his training and assistance. Mr. Snyder conveniently omits the allegations against Mr. Gillespie include but are not limited to not providing the assistance and training agreed upon. Mr. Snyder asserts that Mr. Gillespie is an independent contractor yet within his sales representation Mr. Gillespie uses his affiliation as a hand-picked Board of Regents Scholar to lure and induce investors. The CEO of the Corporation also said to me that we're sorry that this has happened by someone we so strongly endorse. Even after various colleagues suggested different means this problem might be resolved, we have yet to be contacted by the Company or any of it's representatives. As of this date, colleagues including myself have found the offer to be insubstantial and inadequate. Numerous phone calls have been placed with no response. Also Mr. Bob "The General" Snyder, you conveniently omit an explanation as to how Mr. Gillespie was paid $10,000.00 by these many colleagues for assistance and training and each of them has separately filed grievances about misrepresentation, deception and other violations both here in the United States and Canada. Also, Bob "The General" omitted the FACT that after relinquishing the expendable income of ALL the colleagues involved, Mr. Gillespie then set in motion his own li-tle loan company, offering loans to those who had not made qualifying sales, so as to conceal the FACTS of his so-called "assistance and training". Afterall General Bob, "it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's going on here". Also, Mr. Bob "The General" conveniently omitted the FACTS concerning the heavy endorsement given Mr. Gillespie by the Nouveau Riche Corporation and Pat's involvement in setting up seminars, collecting large ammounts of capital from numerous colleagues as investors ($2,500.00)refusing to share the leads generated or return the monies he absconded with. Also omitted were the FACTS and complaints from numerous colleagues alledging the purchase of leads from Mr. Gillespie and never receiving either the leads or the return of their capital. After all General Bob, once again it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's going on here!!!!!
#6) In conclusion, I would very much like to respond to Mr. Bob Snyder's personalization of the issues at hand. C'mon Jonathan! You know better, you marketed these products for months and because you failed to make any sales you are now grasping at straws to request a refund on product that you have used and positively testified to on numerous occasions. When you and I spoke Bob, I challenged you to find ANYONE in Mr. Gillespie's work group, either here in the United States or Canada who joined in the year 2003 that had made $1.00 from his supposed assistance and training. At that time you agreed that would be difficult, and instead, take the opportunity of this forum to personally attack me.
Most importantly is your comment, Are you saying that you lied to people for six months and you openly admit to your lack of integrity. I have never lied or positively testified on numerous occasions that the opportunity presented was anything more than what it is. That with the sporadic and negligible training provided by Mr. Pat Gillespie, a hand picked Board of Regents Scholar contributed to no sales. After meticulously following the instructions of this Scholar, I am now $30,000 in debt. If you really want to shed light on the situation Bob, after your investigation of the allegations, why not convey to the reader the amounts involved,( averaging $30,000.00 per claim) and the financial ruin of the numerous colleagues who did nothing more than trust your representative and so called "independent contractor" who by admission of the CEO is "strongly endorsed by Nouveau Riche". How interesting that it is now WE (me and numerous other colleagues)who are being maligned, as we inform the public of these allegations.
One more thing General Bob, it was so very kind of you to offer me any assistance you could when we met in Denver. Of course I understand your need to attack me and defend the Nouveau Riche organization; after all, you are the NUMBER ONE income earner. Might I add that your assumptions are just that, YOUR ASSUMPTIONS! Your assumption is the EXACT duplicate and replication used by Mr. Pat Gillespie in his rebuttal to ALL the numerous colleagues involved! Do you really think your (or should I say Pat's) assumption is something that has any validity in the course of these proceedings? As you constantly wish to evade the acknowledgement of the many other colleagues involved, and have already more than sufficiently proven that your judgment in these crucial issues is tainted by your prejudice against a singular entity, me, I and the numerous other colleagues involved, most assuredly realize that your evaluation is definitely NOT impartial. Do me a favor General Bob and make sure you convey your assumptions to ALL the other colleagues seeking relief from this. I'm sure they'll be joyous that you have done your best at ignoring their concerns and focusing your attention on one individual.
Please allow me to educate you Mr. Bob The General Snyder, the free legal counsel from various government and local authorities you refer to in your last paragraph has nothing to do with being a disabled veteran. It is FREE to any citizen either here in the United States or in Canada with a grievance against questionable business practices such as fraud, deceit, misrepresentation as are the complaints of NUMEROUS colleagues within the Nouveau Riche Corporation. After all Bob, "it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out"! It's called "Consumer Protection"!
Mr. Bob The General Snyder, I wish to personally thank you for participating in this forum as you have given every reader the opportunity to evaluate the situation for themselves. You have also provided exactly what was necessary, a controversial position that will cause anyone assessing the Nouveau Riche Corporation or their Income Opportunity to seriously consider and closely scrutinize any involvement with your organization. Again Bob, you have certainly provided the necessary response to enable anyone with a sense of logic to completely avoid entanglement in a Company that says they are building a company that is GENUINELY interested in helping others succeed and the enrolling scholars are motivated FINANCIALLY to help in your success.
This is my last communication in this forum as I do not wish to continually hear the rhetoric continuously bantered by self-serving FINANCIALLY motivated scholars
Write to your heart's content, it doesn't change the fact that anyone reading this material submitted by me and others will most definitely alert anyone to a company that refuses to assist in the resolution of a problem. FOR THE PUBLIC, THIS IS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. IS THIS A COMPANY YOU WISH TO BE AFFILIATED WITH????? WELL, GO AHEAD AND LET THEM MAKE YOUR DAY. SEE YOU NEVER "GENERAL BOB".

Rebuttal from Bob Snyder, Nouveau Riche Board of Regents Member
I will do my best to answer or shed light on the accusations from Jonathon one paragraph at a time. Your will need to refer to his origional letter to follow along.
#1 First of all I must disclaim that I am not an employee of Nouveau Riche. I am instead an Independent Contractor just like Jonathon. Nouveau Riche is a business marketing education, tools, systems, software and real estate information to aid individuals in making better informed decisions on real estate investing. Nouveau Riche is not a Business opportunity, it is an income opportunity that interested marketers may align themselves with by purchasing an at cost starter kit for only $75.00. There is no product purchase or any other purchase required at any level of participation beyond the $75 starter kit and that is not even necessary in North Dakota USA. There are no income guarantees of any kind promoted or endorsed by the company. Individuals participating in the marketing efforts become independent contractors and sales success and results vary widely. The idea that anyone of a sane mind would guarantee a certain ROI with in a certain time frame in a Commission only sales organization is ridicules. This is as absurd as any commission only sales person believing such a thing. Nouveau Riche has gone to great lengths to insure that every document, recruiting audio, flash presentation, web page and income opportunity Policy manual produced by the company states that there is no product purchase required, there are no guarantees of income of any kind and any examples used to present this opportunity are for extrapolation purposes only and should not be construed as guarantees of income or success, results vary widely based upon individual effort.
#2 Nouveau Riche is not an MLM program. Marketers are not compensated with over ride percentages on levels of product consumption. Nouveau Riche is a sales organization with a unique twist. Instead of hiring a large sales staff and running up the over head of the company they have chosen to wholesale product to a network of independent contractors like Jonathon. After a marketer becomes certified to sell Nouveau Riche product they are then able to purchase these products from the company direct at wholesale prices. This allows each marketer to be there own boss and pocket 100% of the profit from the products they sale. Once certified they make all of the money and they do not split their income with anyone. The formula is simple, purchase at wholesale, sell to the public at retail and keep a 60-70% profit for themselves.
#3 As a Board of Regents member I was asked by Nouveau Riche to contact Jonathon and obtain proof of his accusations against Mr. Gillespie. I flew from my home in Utah to Denver for our meeting. Jonathon could not provide me with anything other than a he said/she said type of debate. I explained in one of our conversations on the matter that the company cannot terminate marketers or take disciplinary action unless proof of policy violation is provided. To date Nouveau Riche is still awaiting audio and video files that Jonathon and his associates claim to have in there possession, but have never produced.
#4 After reading a number of letters from Jonathon's supporters, meeting with and conducting a number of phone conversations with Jonathon I opened an investigation and consulted with two other Board of Regents members. One of which flew to Denver with me for the first meeting with Jonathon. After interviewing a number of individuals connected to Mr. Gillespie and after reading the 15 page rebuttal that Mr. Gillespie provided I concluded that because of the lack of tangible evidence (other than the letters of a few disgruntled colleagues) provided by the aggrieved parties it was not necessary to involve other Board members. The company asked Jonathon for hard evidence, but he refused to turn over audio and video files that he said he had access to. I can't for the life of me understand why a person with such grievances would refuse the very information that could help his case, but he did.
#5 For one thing Mr. Gillespie as with anyone in this Country is innocent until proven guilty and to answer the next ridicules charge, Nouveau Riche did everything within reason to resolve the matter and Jonathon refused. I can personally attest to the fact that Nouveau Riche went above and beyond the call to remedy Jonathon's issues.
#6 This is possibly the most ridicules accusation of all. Nouveau Riche and its network of Independent Colleagues conduct extensive trainings on a regular basis. Every Saturday Colleagues from around the world are able to join two of our top trainers via live conference call for open forum training with question and answer session.
Every month in multiple locations around the World Nouveau Riche leaders with out compensation are conducting Super Saturday Workshops to help other Colleagues in their business. If a Colleague can't make a Saturday training in person or via conference call then the company has provided an eight hour training series called the Series Seven Training on audio Cd. This can be purchased from the company for under $30. The company also provides over 20 hours of information and instruction through an online audio file source. If this isn't supportive training I don't know what is. Jonathon also accuses the company of using well known celebrity names as inducement. Come on Jonathon! You know better, you marketed these products for over 6 months and because you failed to make any sales you are now grasping at straws to request a refund on product that you have used and positively testified to on numerous occasions. Are you now saying that you lied to people for six months and you openly admit your own lack of integrity. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's going on here. My assumptions are that you actively contacted a number of former sales associates of Nouveau Riche, told them that you had access to free legal council because you are a disabled Veteran and that if they spent any money at all, regardless of whether or not they used or benefited from the product, you could help them get it back.
This in my opinion is the height of deception.

Nouveau Riche Corp. Deceptive Selling Practices....THE FACTS
#15Author of original report
Sat, January 31, 2004
It is most apparent that one of my esteemed colleagues from Utah wishes to erroneously attack those who's only wish is to convey the FACTUAL basis of complaints formally filed with various agencies against the Nouveau Riche Corporation and their "hand-picked Board of Regents Scholar".... It has been both my, and many other colleague's desire to have these allegations and charges ameliorated to the satisfaction of ALL involved.....Unfortunately, after submitting our requests to have these matters resolved in a timely manner, the company to this date, has NOT attempted to do so........
Next I refer to my emotionally-charged and esteemed colleague's assertion that "Pat Gillespie, mentioned in Jonathan's ridiculous comments, is actually no longer associated with Nouveau Riche". Yes, all of the ranting and raving and carrying-on by Jonathan is all for nothing! The CEO, Board of Regents, President of the United States and whomever else Jonathan mentioned actually did follow through and correct whatever situation was happening". Had my very worthy colleague investigated the matter, they would most definitively have found that Mr. Gillespie continues to retain his position with the Nouveau Riche Corporation as is , more than adequately evidenced, by the fact that Mr. Gillespie was doing the Saturday morning national training call for the company this morning, January 31st 2004. Again I refer to my most-learned colleague's assertions that "I can't comment on what Pat did, why he is gone, or any of the details because I don't know"...I strongly concurr with my colleague, they DON'T know...
In my most knowlegeable colleague's rebuttal to another colleague expressing their FACTUAL experiences of the allegations and charges that were presented, our most knowledgeable colleague writes..."We're all supposed to have learned by now to take responsibility for our decisions. We should carefully review all the facts as they are presented and understand what we are doing".....My most informed colleague's credibility in this matter seems to be extremely doubtful by asserting Mr. Gillespie's removal when all that was necessary was to pick up a phone to determine Mr Gillespie's status. Perhaps my most eloquent colleague should "take responsibility for their decision, and carefully review all the facts" before purveying a blatant disregard of the TRUTH! My good-intentioned colleague might do well to perhaps refer to the dictionary in reference to the word "INTEGRITY".
In conclusion I would once again refer to my most esteemed colleague's synopsis of the current debacle..."Give me a break. Use your head for a minute (if it still works) I can only assume Jonathan had no monetary loss. He doesn't indicate he lost anything. He only found that because of a negative experience with someone associated with Nouveau Riche, he no longer had what it takes to be successful through hard work. If someone in the organization does not follow the rules, I am confident that management will take care of the situation, as they have with Mr. Gillespie, and allow me to continue doing what is necessary to be successful."....Again I accept my judicious and fair-minded colleague's admission that "I do not know any of that information"...The average invested by ALL the many colleagues from both the United States and Canada is approximately $30,000.
Perhaps my most astute colleague, who seems to have such an acumen for grasping the DETAILS and FACTS of the matter pending, which they honestly admit "I don't know anything" and being so adamantly confident that the Management, CEO, and Board of Regents of the Nouveau Riche Corporation will "take care of the situation, as they have with Mr. Gillespie".....would be so kind as to do the many colleagues involved a great favor....
Noveau Riche's goal statement is "to build a company that is genuinely interested in helping others succeed and the enrolling scholars are motivated FINANCIALLY to help in your success". As you feel so strongly as to your committment to the Nouveau Riche Corporation and this goal statement...of course "YOU DON'T KNOW", I thought perhaps if all the many colleagues involved both in the United States and in Canada could somehow mangage the financial means necessary, to satisfy your "motivation financially"...and your need "to continue doing what you need to do to be successful".... could you please give the company a call to resolve the matter equitably and fairly for ALL the colleagues involved....We would ALL be most ever-grateful.....I can assure you...we will most vigorously applaud your attempt....and as vigorously laugh at your failure....It's a comforting feeling to know that you're ready to apply your "continue doing what you need to do to succeed" concept to our cause....Just one more thing my most empathic colleague.....I would much prefer "doing the RIGHT thing I could in order to succeed" rather than doing what one would think was NECESSARY to succeed.

Sour Grapes, carefully review all the facts
#15UPDATE Employee
Sat, January 31, 2004
We're all supposed to have learned by now to take responsibility for our own decisions. We should carefully review all the facts as they are presented to us, and understand what we are doing.
In the case of Steve from Austin, his problem is that he is a whiner. He obviously didn't review any of the materials provided by Nouveau Riche, he obviously failed to understand that Nouveau Riche is a direct marketing opportunity, not a get rich quick scheme. Further, he must have learned too late that making money in direct marketing requires hard work. What's worse, is that he now tries to pass his misconceptions of Nouveau Riche onto everyone else.
Nouveau Riche is an opportunity to own your own business. You may use it's training to build your own real estate portfolio, and you may also sell the opportunity and training to others. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES!! If someone represented otherwise, the complaint should be made in writing to Nouveau Riche. It is my understanding that misrepresentation and guarantees of results are not allowed. I can't find a single dollar figure in Steve's complaint that matches reality. And I've never heard anything about a 60-90 day program, guarantee, plan or anything else.
You may market the products Nouveau Riche has to offer by paying $75. At that point, you should rely on your hard work and the support of the people in Nouveau Riche to help you expand your business. At some point, you may want the Wealth Building System which, contrary to Steve's allegation, is definitely not over-priced. Among other things, you can use it to evaluate properties that you may want to add to your portfolio, and gain valuable education through it's use. Buying it and selling two more, gives you $1,000 profit for each sale thereafter. I believe that all of the products Nouveau Riche has to offer are valuable. I also believe that not every opportunity is for everyone. If Steve had a negative experience, he did not do his homework. He is the kind of person that would buy the Brooklyn Bridge and then use this forum to complain about it.
YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. It is not easy, but I personally know DOZENS of people that have made more than what was estimated in the first Nouveau Riche meeting I attended. Steve quotes all kinds of facts and figures with no source of his data. Hats off to Steve for fabricating facts and figures that no one else in the world has access to! He should work for USA Today and make those charts and graphs you find on the front page.

Rip off is a far cry from the truth, not a business opportunity. It is an income opportunity
#15UPDATE Employee
Sat, January 31, 2004
I am involved with Nouveau Riche. I have been since they launched the company in December 2002. I have been active in the company now for over a year.
Nouveau Riche is not a business opportunity. It is an income opportunity. Nouveau Riche is a direct sales company. They provide great real estate education products and solutions.
Their products are very competitively priced for the industry. This is an opportunity for people to start their own business, and become an investor.
Before Nouveau Riche I had my own construction company. After working for eight years and getting very burned out I needed a change. I was working 60 hour weeks and just being able to pay my bills. Even worse was the fact that I was seeing my little family less and less.
Since Nouveau Riche, I now work half as much and have been able to make twice as much money. I have started acquiring properties that are all profitable income properties. My passive income is now over 1000 dollars a month from these investments.
I have seen many other people come in and use the products to make money investing in real estate. I have also see many people market Nouveau Riche products and make a great deal of money. I have decided to do both.
Nouveau Riche is a dual opportunity that is unbelievable. Make money marketing their products, and take what is left over to invest in real estate. And with the amount of education you recieve through their poduct, you invest correctly.
I have seen so many people come into Nouveau Riche and expect that someone else will do it for them. They want others to hand hold them to great success. I have come to the realization that if it is to be, then it is up to me.
If I succeed at any endeavor I do not want someone else to take my credit. By the same token if I fail, it would be equally grievous for me to blame someone else. There are no guarantees in life.
My experience and what I have noticed in others is that those that take action, are the ones that succeed. Nouveau Riche is simply a vehicle one can use to achieve success. It is ultimately up to each and every individual.
I have seen this company over the past year spent countless energy trying to improve it's products, services, and opportunities for their colleagues. The leaders spend their own money and time in an effort to help educate, train, and give support to assist in colleagues continued success. They have a sense of community that is unlike any other I have ever seen before.
Very rarely is it the people that are content and satisfied that speak and try to be heard. Generally it is the person that believes they have been wronged that meke the most noise. All I can say for those reading this and other commentary on Nouveau Riche is that you have to find out for yourself what is best for you. Then take action.
Wishing you all the best in your search.

Baseball is a RIPOFF!!!

When I read the comments about Nouveau Riche I actually laughed out loud. People as ignorant as that have no place in the business world at all. There are so many incorrect and inflammatory statements made that I don't even know where to begin! First, Nouveau Riche does not disguise itself as anything other than what it is; a network marketing opportunity, wrapped around a personal opportunity to create a personal real estate portfolio.
One of the more ignorant comments I ran across was Nouveau Riche . . . is nothing more than a carefully constructed veil for an MLM. During the first information meeting you will attend, you are informed that Nouveau Riche is a direct sales opportunity. Even I know that network marketing is recognized as the preferred method of marketing virtually world wide. The appeal of direct marketing is that it can be whatever you make of it. Those that apply themselves to the challenge are successful.
Pat Gillespie, mentioned in Jonathans ridiculous comments. Is actually no longer associated with Nouveau Riche. Yes, all of that ranting, raving and carrying-on by Jonathan is all for nothing! The CEO, Board of Regent's, President of the USA and whomever else Jonathan mentioned actually did follow through and correct whatever situation was happening. I can't comment on what Pat did, why he is gone, or any other details because I do not know any of that information. I do know that if we all applied the same logic that Jonathan from Colorado uses, we would all shun professional baseball players, games, owners and anything associated with Major League Baseball because This one guy, named Pete Rose was in baseball and he gambled on games he shouldn't have. So Baseball is a Ripoff! Fraudulent, deceptive and misleading organization!
Give me a break. Use your head for a minute! (if it still works) I can only assume Jonathan had no monetary loss? He doesn't indicate he lost anything. He only found that because of a negative experience with someone associated with Nouveau Riche, he no longer had what it takes to be successful through hard work. If someone in the organization does not follow the rules, I am confident that management will take care of the situation, as they have with Mr. Gillespie, and allow me to continue doing what is necessary to be successful. I personally know dozens of people who have made many times more money than what is estimated in the initial meetings I attended at Nouveau Riche, and I myself have already accumulated two properties.
