I was applying online through a search company for a personal loan, so when Nova finance services llc called and stated they could offer me a personal loan for 30,000 I thought they were legit. I submitted all necessary documents. Was called by my "loan manager" Walter Martin and he explained that I needed to pay an upfront fee for loan processing fee.

Something about an outside company preparing legal documents for the loan. It all sounded acceptable plus I was excited about the loan amount and interest they were offering. So I sent the money and sent them the tracking number for the cashiers check I mailed. (I know, I'm a dummy) So on my "dispersment date" I was called by another man ( all Indian accents) and told I needed to pay another 1500dollars I screamed I will not!

I want my 500 back immediately that man transferred me back to walter who said oh yeah it's just the last step I said absolutely not I want my money back he said well that looks bad on is. I said I dont care. They he said well we will refund 500. That was 3 weeks ago and now when i call music just plays and no one ever picks up for me. The bank cannot stop payment. Or maybe will not and i guess it's my fault so dont be a dummy like me. Nova finance services llc has no loans to offer they are frauds and will steal your money!

1.  "I was applying online through a search company for a personal loan."  I don't even know what this means.  Do you mean that you did a google search for online loan companies in order to get a personal loan?  Why would you do that?  There are these federally-insured and licensed things called banks.  I bet there's one in your hometown.

2.  "So when Nova....said they could offer me a personal loan of $30,000 I thought they were legit."  May I ask why?  Because you think it's perfectly common to be offered a sack of money by a stranger over the phone who hasn't even checked your credit score?

3.  When the "Loan Manager" said you needed to pay an upfront fee (which is illegal) "it all sounded acceptable" because you don't know how any of this works.  You just wanted money and didn't really care to look into how money is loaned by legitimate financial institutions.

4.  Besides, "you were excited about the loan amount and the interest they were offering."  Yes, the waved a shiny object in front of you to distract you from reality.  You didn't take the time to think about any of this because they were offering you, a stranger on the phone, a $30,000 personal loan at low interest and gosh darn that just sounded so great (unrealistic, even) you just went ahead and sent these people ("all with Indian accents") your money.

5.  You don't scream "I will not!" until they ask for MORE money.  You know, instead of just going along with this obvious scam (did you wear sunglasses to better ignore the huge flashing red SCAM lights?)

6.  "I know, I'm a dummy."  Yes, yes you are.  And I simply cannot believe this keeps happening.

It has been said for years and years and years..advance fee loans are a clear and very obvious scam. They continue to exist because of what P. T. Barnum allegedly said: "A sucker is born every minute!"
