disclaimer: NEVER PAY IN FULL UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETE. that was my mistake.

I found out after the fact that roofers like to look at google to give estimates. tony miller responded right away. he said he could repair and replace 2 roof systems-roof, soffit/facsia, gutter/downspout. i acquired these two homes with violations in oct 2018.  he gave me a quote of $6000 originally. he went to do the work and i paid but management called me and said not much was done.

i called tony and he gave me all kinds of story why i paid in full and he did not complete the work. i cancelled the check on monday and in the end tony said he will refund $1200. so i paid the $4800 for the work he said he did. i received a warranty for 2 years on the roof.

i received a letter from the city that the violations were not complete. tony whined about doing the best he could and so on. he refunded $2400 and i had to agree not to leave feedback thru home advisor. i was reluctant but i did. there was a storm that went thru the city march 13, 2019 and shingles came of. he told me he cant touch the roof and to go thru insurance. i refused .

i wanted to use the warranty for the parts that he did. this is the kind of people home advisor is choosing to do business with. this is the 2nd company thru home advisor that took me for a ride. the first went to prision. do not pay before you are sure the job is complete. if you can be onsite yourself. my trust issues are now shot.

i came to an agreement after i filed this complaint. they refunded everything i paid but i had to agree not to write a review of what transpired thru homeadvisor.com. i complied. so dana, did you know that the new roofers went up on the roof and did not see any recent work?

it was all slate. they should have seen new shingles somewhere on the roof but they did not. i DID NOT leave a review with home advisor. i did however leave reviews elsewhere. consumers have a right to know when trades arent on the up and up.

Miss Francis we came and gave you a quote you were informed the Repair would not hold due to the condition of the roof it actually needed to be replaced you chose not to do that. Wind damage from a storm is not a warranty issue as any roofing company will tell you.

It is your responsibility to make an insurance claim, You were completely refunded for the work that was done, No one took advantage or otherwise. And you agreed to not make any derogatory remarks I see how good your word was. Please if giving info give all the correct info.
