Received letter from this outfit. Stated we had a past due account with P.M. Service Co. (we don't) because they were "unsuccessful in receiving" our cancellation. Demanded 189.99 or threatened legal action of a fine of $300.
Poorly written and in bold letters states: "This is very serious!" Unable to talk to a live person but have a phone message from a Julianne. Glad I googled it - there are reports all over the web. Amazingly, everyone seems to owe the very same amount. The address keeps changing as does the name (NRS, NCRS, etc.). We're happy we didn't fall for it but are concerned elderly people may feel threatened. We are filing consumer fraud reports. Don't be fooled by this...check it out on the web. Happily, our son is an attorney and my husband works for network news. . . .and this is a very interesting story..

Postal Fraud Investigation Now In Progress!

#2Author of original report

Sat, June 20, 2009

After my first post, I filed a Postal Fraud report with the US Post office. Received a letter from them today-they are currently investigating this fraud and gathering evidence. The woman behind NRS, NCRS, is named Judith Nye and now Ms. Nye is in deep, deep trouble! Please contact the US Postal Service and file a report if you have been victimized by this collection scheme....they will take your report very seriously.
