NRS-Collection Company tries collecting on "unpaid magazine subscription" Fort Mill South Carolina
This company sent me a letter claiming that I owed them $189.99 for cancelling a magazine subscription. There was an invoice with fake magazine subscriptions. After thought I realized something was wrong and looked into my records.
They say that I have a past account with P.M. Service Company and that after cancelling I owe them $189.99 and additional fees of $300 may apply along with additional costs. When I spoke to them on the phone they told me that it could go into thousands of dollars if it went to court.
This is what they sent me (I'll leave out the numerous spelling and grammar mistakes, when your trying to rip someone off at least use spell check):
"With regards to your past account with P.M. Service Company, they have been unsuccessful in receiving your cancellation fee either by phone or by mail. Due to the privacy act, please call me for any additional information that can help you! If this is ignored, your fees could multiply.
This account will be going to the legal department which may go into court at the end of MAY!!!!!!
This is an attempt to collect a debt this is very serious!
****NRS is a collection agency hired to mediate and collect a dept and is not the company you owe. Upon failed mediation, the debt files are forwarded back to the primary collectors legal department for pursuaint action. This can become very costly to you!!!!
