RESPONDED TO AN AD IN THE PAPER FOR 2-RECEIVER DIRECT TV SATELLITE SYSTEM INSTALLED FOR $19.99.

CHECKED IT OUT, SOUNDED GOOD, SO I ORDERED. NO HIDDEN FEES OR CHARGES, NO PROBLEM.

SET UP MY INSTALLATION DATE, (WHICH WAS A WEEK LATER), AND THE $19.99 WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT THE MORNING AFTER I ORDERED. GREAT!

MY INSTALLATION DATE ROLLS AROUND, AND THE HOURS PASS ON BY WITH NO SIGN OF AN INSTALLER.

I MADE A TOTAL OF TEN, (YES TEN!) CALLS ONLY TO RECEIVE ANSWERS LIKE "THE INSTALLER WILL CALL YOU IN 30 MINUTES", "YOUR SALES REP WILL CALL YOU IN JUST A MINUTE", AND "I JUST TALKED TO HIM - HE'S GONNA CALL YOU RIGHT NOW"..EACH TIME I GAVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND WAITED.

FINALLY, AT 8 P.M. ON MY INSTALLATION DATE, I CALL AGAIN AND THREATEN LEGAL ACTION IF MY SALES REP DOESN'T CALL ME IN FIVE MINUTES.

LUCKY FOR THEM, HE CALLED! AND GUESS WHAT HE SAYS: "OUR INSTALLER REFUSES TO COME TO YOUR HOME BECAUSE IT IS TOO FAR OUT OF HIS WAY" WHAT?!?!?!? (KEEP IN MIND THAT HIS LOCATION TO MY HOUSE WAS A TOTAL OF 15 MINUTES).

THEY TELL ME TO CALL 1-800-DIRECT-TV AND GET IT THROUGH THEM. I DEMANDED THAT MY REFUND BE PROCESSED IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME THAT IT TOOK TO TAKE MY MONEY, WHICH WAS LESS THAN TWELVE HOURS.

SO, I GOT MY REFUND IN FULL, 3 WHOLE DAYS LATER, AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY NEW INSTALLATION DATE TO ROLL AROUND WITH DIRECT TV. BUYER BEWARE.

GET YOUR SATELLITE THROUGH THE COMPANY ITSELF. SUBCONTRACTORS SUCK.
