Renewal charges apeared on my credit card. They claim that they send renewal notices in the mail and blame the post office for not delivering.
Come on, we all complain about the Postal Service, but they do a fine job of delivering the mail.
Also, isn't it a strange coincidence that only this company's mail gets lost. I was charged $24 for Sunset magazine and Sunset charges $21 for a direct renewal and $16 for a new subscription.
I was charged $24.95 for Computer Shopper and ZDNet their publisher) charges $14.95 direct.

I've had this experience twice with this company, and I've been able to call the 1-800 number that shows up on my credit card statement and cancel the subscription.
Both times I received a refund within 2-3 days. I do agree that their practice of automatically charging it to the credit card is shady, but it does say that (in small letters though!)
Don't worry, just be persistent. Good Luck! If I could do it anyone can.
