NSS Magazine Strikes Again Ripoff

Just yesterday I received my credit card bill with a $65 charge on it from NSS Magazine. I racked my brain trying to remember charging a magazine subscription to my card but just couldn't come up with a thing I just don't use my card for that sort of thing. I called the "800" number on the credit card statement and got the famous voice mail menu - probably the most aggravating one I've ever encountered. Felt like I was just being given the run around by a machine! When I entered the account number, the system referenced two subscriptions - for "Time" and "House and Garden". At no time did the voice mail system offer to connect me with a real person. I did remember being offered two "free" trial subscriptions when I was on another website, but after the trial period was over I did not receive an offer to continue the subscription, and I certainly didn't authorize the charge to me credit card!

That's when I decided to try to find NSS online, and found this website and the other NSS rip off stories. Just unbelieveable. In all fairness, I did receive at least some of the magazines, but I did not receive any communication from NSS about continuing with the subscriptions and/or payment. I have filed a dispute letter with my credit card company as they directed, and I have also lodged a complaint with the Vermont Consumer Protection people. I want my $65 back, and it would be nice if someone in a position of authority would investigate the business practices of this company.
