We began to receive two magazines a few months ago - in my husband's name. Neither of us had ordered any, so I called the magazine's subscription services number. They told me that the magazine was ordered through a subscrition service and gave me NSS's information.

I phoned the 800 number and got an automated line, no matter which topic you pick, you never speak to a human. I did get enough information to learn that I've been charged "Handling fees" for these magazines.

I did not order them, I do not like the magazines and cannot get a human to talk to to find out how they got our name, address and had the right to send them to us and charge us for them.

You can contact NSS directly at 1-800-799-9939. I was also a victim of this company's fraudulent billing practices (see the report I filed). I urge you to contact them & demand that the charges be refunded, and to file a report with the FTC as well. Even if the charges are negligable, it's important that you dispute them. From what I've read on this site, NSS has bilked thousands (if not millions) out of unsuspecting customers. For evey person who complains, there are probably dozens who just pay the bill b/c it takes less time & energy...everyone needs to do their part to shut this company down! I was only charged $6, but I'll take the company to small claims court if necessary!
