NTTA ZipCash Toll Bill Fraud Mailing

I received two notices in the postal mail of balance due to the N Texas Tollway Authority, for tolls that myself nor my vehicle have ever visited. I live in the Austin area and even confirmed on the dates of the supposed bill, I was working in Corpus Christi (having driven the car they claim racked up a balance on tolls in the Dallas area!)

This is ridiculous, looks like a very real bill but i'm wondering if it's a phishing scam and how the heck they got my info? It does have my actual plate and vehicle listed, proper name and mailing address.   Just wanted to warn others...

Just to update, I received an apology, acknowledgement that it was not my car/me driving but it did indeed come from their billing department, and the fees were dismissed for these fraudulent charges, but I don't know that they did anything about tracking down the scammers.

I live in NM, and not Texas first of all, but got one of the scam letters now 3 times from NTTA in Texas Strike 1. If you look real close at the picture on mine you see my NM prestige plate, on totally the wrong vehicle. Strike 2. I have not driven that vehicle for 15 years and the tags never left it, though I kept it registered as I plan to get it running to drive it again, some day. On top of all this, I have not driven at all in any part of Texas for over 20 years. Total scam and no mistake they have made, and keep making. Strike 3. This is worth a grand Jury and major lawsuits, plus prosecution for postal fraud.

If you have no toll tag and they have your license plate then you owe the money!!!! So my question is how do they have pictures of your vehicle and plate if you were not in the DFW area????? And YES every statement shows a picture
