I own a medium duty 2006 chevrolet kodiak with 31000 miles on it. It has the duramax 6.6L diesel engine. These trucks have a history and well known injector failure problem.

I had injector failures and all 8 injectors replaced with a fuel system flush. this cost me 5400 dollars which had to be borrowed. Otherwise I would have been out of a truck, an income, and would have been unable to make my truck payments on a 3 year old diesel truck. They refused warranty coverage on the following claim:

They found debris in the fuel filter, YES THE FUEL FILTER, which they called "fuel contamination". What is the fuel filter there for in the first place??

I have an extended warranty through GMAC which is a powertrain plus coverage and also covers the vehicle. GMAC felt that this is a valid claim and that GM should not have denied it. I also heard the same response from every other person in the field which I spoke with.

GMAC coverage went to the mat for me a disputed this rejection with GM and their regional managers. GM refused and GMAC is now paying for most of the repairs.

We all know that the dealer makes more money by being paid retail rates by the consumer rather than wholesale rates from GM for warranty coverage.

Nucar chevrolet obviously would rather line their pockets at the consumers expense than covering a valid warranty claim.

WHO SAYS PEOPLE WILL STILL HAVE THEIR GM WARRANTIES HONORED??
