My company hired Nufish Webdesign in California to design a professional website in March 2008. The agreement discussed on the phone with Brian Sadler that they would do our ecommerce site for $1000 with $500 upfront to get started. I sent a cashiers check for $500 2 weeks later. This is when everything went down hill, I recieved excuse after excuse on why they have not started on our site and then they told me they are getting held up because we were not sending them enough text and information. First of all, I was hoping to see a template or a theme of what I am paying for. Being patient, we sent Nufish 4 pages of information, Brian Sadler that was plenty to get started. 2 months went by and still not a single file sent to us so we could see the progress. I called Brian and he gave me more excuses by this time it is already July and not a single piece of work had been sent to us. At this time my partners are ready to take legal action with Nufish.

Mid-July and I get a an email from Brian Sadler and Kevin Compton telling us that they have recieved a larger project and we can either pay the other $500 and they will work on the site or they can upload what they have and send us the files to have someone else finish it. I was pretty upset but ready to be done with Nufish and their unprofessional business practices. I first of all tried calling Brian 4 times in a period of a week and he would not return emails or calls. I finally got a hold of Brian by phone and told him to go ahead and go live with what they had, he said I would have the files in 3 days. Three days later nothing, no live site no files, we tried calling but to no avail. After 3 weeks no communication, files, or live website we then knew we would never see our site or our money back!! I kept leaving Kevin and Brian messages telling them we just want our $500 back, their response was "once we get funded from this other job we will pay you the $500 and be done" We sent a complaint to the BBB in California and they responded that the $500 was for their "time". We about fell out of our chair when we read this response how can a company like Nufish sleep at night.

So beware of this company NUFISH, do your homework in researching a professional webdesign company not a mom and pop business with no business morals.

Client never provided required content as stated in contract

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, February 22, 2010

The site design was approved in the winter of 2008, by the summer of 2008 after repeated phone calls, emails and official notices, NO content had been provided to complete the site and the client reverted their statement on the work and cancelled the project.

The deposit, as stated by contract, was non refundable and more then its value was put into the project. The client declined the graphics to be sent which had been approved.

After the client posted repeated malicious content on the web we contacted him and he agreed to remove the statements if we paid him back, we refunded him yes he has continued to malign our company.

We find Mr Rodriguez to be untruthful, malicious and unreasonable. We humbly ask that you consider at least checking our legitimate references before taking his word. Thank you for your time to consider our rebuttal.

Sincerely,

Kevin Compton
