Hidden Policy Loopholes/Unfair Business Practice
As others have indicated, the business practices of this company are not consumer friendly and may, indeed, be fraudulent. I ordered a trial or sample of their skin care cream and an eye care serum (which was promoted as an enhancement to the skin care line) for $9.95, the price quoted for shipping. Nothing in the ad spoke of an auto-fill or cancellation requirement. Subsequently, I noted a charge for $89.95 for the cream and $85.95 for the serum on my credit card.
When I called to ask for a refund or return information, I was told that in their terms and conditions, to which they said I had greed, I was to cancel in 14 days or would be billed full price. The supervisor with whom I spoke insisted this was true and that no refund nor return (for health reasons!) was available. Since I am cautious about this type of sales gimmick, I had looked carefully without seeing any such terms. She said if I didn't remember the terms and conditions, a copy is on their website. I never could find this. Plus I note on Amazon.com the SAME size and packaging for this cream and serum sells for $34.00 and $33.00 respectively. BIG RIP OFF!
