I ordered the NuWave Induction Cooktop set from a tv advertisement that offered the product with a 9.5" inch fry pan, an 11.5" fry pan, a Fondue Set with Steamer basket, Recipe Book, DVD, Chart & 1 yr warranty.  Then it offered a second set free, but you had to pay additional shipping.  I received two cooktops, 1 set of the fry pans, 1 fondue set.  Missing, was the second Fondue set, and Fry pans.   This ended up costing me $99.99 plus $38.85 for a Cast Iron BBQ Grill (which was an additional item).  The shipping and handling was a whopping $149.80.  Now, in order to get the extra set of fry pans and the fondue set the company failed to ship to me with the original order, I am being charged an extra $54.95 shipping and handling to get these items.  Even their web site states TWO sets.  But they do not ship you two sets.  I think that charging me extra an extra shipping and processing charge to get my missing items in a BIG rip-off since it was their mistake to begin with.  I also think that $149.80 shipping and handling is also extreme.  There should be a cheaper way to ship this kind of product.

I’m a satisfied Nuwave (both the Infared/ Convection/Conduction Oven and  the Precision Induction Cooktop) consumer in receipt of the same ‘free gifts’ you mention and I have no complaints as to the shipping costs associated with these products.  You must consider the total weight of these ‘extras’ bearing in mind that the pans are constructed of 18/10 stainless steel – among the heaviest cookware available with tempered glass lids as well.  With minimal care, this cookware will last a lifetime.  Check the pans’ bottoms and take note of their thickness – due to the magnetic insertions to operate with the Cooktop.  You may also use these pans with conventional (gas/electric coil) cooktops – however I choose not to so as not to subject them to error and eventual cleanups.  Remember that weight costs to ship and frankly, I wouldn’t sacrifice the advantage these pans give on the Nuwave cooktop or their flexibility should you use them on other conventional cooktops.  Enjoy!!!

Hello, my name is Becky. I am the Social Media Marketing Manager for Hearthware, the makers of the NuWave PIC. In many cases, confusion about the cookware stems from a simple misunderstanding about having accepted the additional S&P charges in order to obtain the free gift. If you feel that

I will have our customer service managers compare your records with our own. Once I receive an update from them, I will pass along any relevant information to you.
