Nuwave Precision cooktop Poor customer service need to return item and wont return my phone calls Libertyville, Illinois
An elderly friend of mine ordered Nuwave precision cooktop. From what he gathered on infoomercials the nuwave came with the pots and pa s for $99 when he recieved his order there were no pots and pans. He had me call customer service to see where his pots and pans were. According to the sales rep. The nuwave doesnt come with the pots and pans so she said that would b an additional $139.90 and supposedly that was for the shipping and handling she told me to ask him if this is what he wanted to do in whiich he didnt he just wanted me to return the product and get his money back. Well i called back and every time i call i get this message " do to the overwelming phone calls please leave your name and number and we will call you back. I have called numerous times and i still get this same message and no one has ever called me back. You only have 90 days to return the product to get your money back but time is running out he ordered it aug. 16 th 2012 and now it is sept. 25 th 2012. They have horrible customer service and i feel this is a horrible scam why is that the product itself is actually $99 for two nuwave burners the shipping and handling was $69.90 and the first time i did talk to customer service rep she said he could get both pots and pans for the price of shipn and handling which was $139.90 she also made it a point to let me know that many of the consumers who have order this product have also thought that the pots and pans automatically came with the cooktop so the informercial is very misleading and then when u need to return the product you cant get ahold of anyone to do so. This elderly man wants his money back and i feel that he should also get a full refund on the shipping charges this is crazy and a major rip off specially for the elderly who cant leave their homes to shop for christmas. We demand a full refund for this misleading product.

Hello, my name is Jeremy. I am the Social Media Coordinator for Hearthware, the makers of the NuWave PIC. I am sorry to hear that your friend is disappointed in his cooktops. If you send an email with his order information to facebook@hearthware.com, I can inquire with our customer service managers regarding a return authorization number, and pass it along to you or your friend.
I would like to make a clarification. While the cookware does come free with every order, customers must agree to pay the S&P for each set. We state both in our infomercial and on our website that all bonus items are free, provided that customers pay for the S&P. Our policy is to only ship the cookware and charge customers accounts when they explicitly agree to the S&P charges. I apologize for any confusion that this may have caused.
