I recently had a job interview with a company called NY Promotional Events.I had an initial interview with Jessica Lopez, the president, who informed me of the companies roles in the community.I then recieved a call a day later asking me to come in for a second interview.I agreed and attended 2 days later. After arriving at the office,I sat there for what felt like an entire week.I was then whisked away by one of the "trainers" who took me outside and told me I was to hop in their car.The girl was very young and her choice of music in her car and the frequent references to some rather choice curse words were alarming.I asked her several times where we were going and her response was to an "event".Well, when we got to this "event",it wasn't an event at all like I was told.It was setting up a table and trying to raise money for DARE.We were practically on the sidewalk begging people for money. It was horrifying especially since I knew from my fundraising days that not "all" the money was helping "DARE",which they often told people it did. After feeling quite scandoulous and feeling like a thief,I made them take me back to my car.I am apalled that a company would engage in such devlish acts.I hope DARE is aware of these practices as it sends the wrong signals at these "events".It was one of the most horrific experiences.I hope you are all aware of this company, and any others just the same.

Just one simple question.

What was the reason you felt like you "had" to get in their car without knowing anything such as where you were going?
