9:30pm, I went into the intake shelter at 33rd Street and I spoke to someone at the desk and asked to re-enter the shelter system and if I can speak to someone who can nova certify me. The supervisor Ms. Owens explained to me that they can't provide me services as a domestic violence victim because it's not for single men. She then told me to go into a drop in center and claimed that I wasn't educated enough after I showed the proof of the advocacy letter and to go back to Dekalb to the single men's shelter. She provided me her info and told me to call her or have someone call her because the information that was given to me was wrong. I feel like I was discriminated and the supervisor didn't want to provide me with services. Very upset.
