Complaint Review: O.H.'s Legacy

A young man trying to get his life together knocked on my door on 4/9/08 and his sob story encouraged me to help him. He was collecting points for selling magazines. I ended up ordering 2 magazines for a whopping $142 (including a $10 fee) and felt kind of ripped off at the time, but figured I was helping him out.

I called in September 2008 (I waited because I know magazines can take a while) and was told it would be looked into. I received a letter on 9/8/08 stating that they had called the magazine publishers who would take care of my order. I called again the first week of October 2008 and was told that the owner of the company died and that I should fax in a request for a refund.

I did so on 10/9/08 and have not (as of 9/5/08) heard back from anyone or received my refund.
