My son leased a truck over 3 years ago, told them he couldn't stay within their low mileage numbers for a lease, so he wanted to buy a truck instead. They said they had an extended lease program, giving me more miles. He went over the extended miles by a few hundred miles, but he received a bill for $3,000 + from Ford Credit in additional miles. They said he doesn't have the extended miles, even though the paperwork says he has it.

Now they say that even though he has the paperwork on the extended lease, He wasn't charged the premium to cover that cost, but they will take 50% of the blame. He has the paperwork that shows the extended lease and didn't know he needed a lawyer to lease a truck. He thought they were being straight with him, but they sure are not. They purposely lied to make the sale.

This guy lied to my son to get the sale, and now he is being charged additional money. He will never go to Ford or Ford Motor Credit again for his trucks. They lalso ost my business, and I am going to tell everyone about this, and we have a huge web of friends that will never buy at O'Meara again. This is not right, to give a young man of 27 the paperwork and assure him he can put the miles on the truck (it wasn't cheap, either), but now tell him that he didn't pay a premium. He paid a lot of money down as well, $5,000, and they told him he would have that money as cash down when he wants to buy the truck.

If he knew the lease was not the extended lease, which he has the paperwork saying it is, he would have KEPT THE TRUCK, rather than pay the additional money for the miles and buying another new truck.
