I went to O'Reillys auto parts in Hinesville, GA to get a part for my car. I found the part to be cheaper from several other locations, but since Ive been going to O'Reillys, I took the better pricing for them to price match.

Since I walked in, the problems started. I saw Jay, the employee who ordered the part for me, and I greeted him saying hey whats going on friend!, In turn he responds Im not your friend. So I say ok, can you please go get my part then. He returns with my part and sees I have the pricing from Advanced Auto. He says oh no, Im not here to run your scam. He looks it up and says Ill do this price, and I say no, the price is $74 and some change. He starts making a fuss about trying to help me, begins cursing, and then goes to accuse me of trying to scam them and rip people off, stating that hes is going to be an "a**hole" to me and refuse me service.

This continues on and he go gets the assistant manager, who attempts to fix the problem. After trying to fix it, they decide to not price match the product, in which I said no, either you price match it or I dont buy it. While the manager and I are talking, the other employee, Jay, is cursing saying screw him, hes scamming us, Im not helping that "a**hole" out, and continues to say more, while other customers are there and there is about 5 other employees working. Noone said anything to him or attempted to stop him. The manager then refused to price match, and then I left the store.

"Also, the email that I recieved from O'Reillys HQ has magically been retracted from my email!"

So, now you claim they went to the trouble of hacking into your computer in order to remove an email?   That's a bit much, don't you think?

More of the story

It seems that we are getting more of the story.

I saw Jay, the employee who ordered the part for me, and I greeted him saying hey whats going on friend!, In turn he responds Im not your friend.
- This statement in the original post was an odd one.  Where if this guy just out of the blue responded that way, one could say that it was not appropriate.  However later on we find out that this is not just some random customer, they have ties to the store.

The store manager happens to be my roommates friend (not to mention my roommate used to also a manager there, but he also left due to problems in that store) and there have been tons of complaints about this same employee doing things like that.

- So it would seem that the OP knows this other employee and there is perhaps some "bad" history.  It may not excuse the reactions, but it may explain it and perhaps the OP isn't this perfect customer they are trying to show themselves(but not doing a very good job).

Perhaps the OP has tried this "price match" before.  Generally stores do not allow price matches on "Special Orders", or they only will do it at the time of ordering as stated before.

Lying Staff, Video Happens to not work that day, etc...

Yeah.. I got an update today on this situation. The assistant manager who was in the store and saw what happened straight lied to the store manager. They said I was the one cursing and yelling, so I told him to go ahead and pull the video
feed and see whos lying, but they just so happen to not have the cameras working. The store manager happens to be my roommates friend (not to mention my roommate used to also a manager there, but he also left due to problems in that
store) and there have been tons of complaints about this same employee doing things like that.

Also, I went and posted the situation on O'Reillys facebook page, not only was my comment deleted, I was also removed and blocked from their fb page. Also, the email that I recieved from O'Reillys HQ has magically been retracted from my email! From what Ive seen, O'Reillys has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I told the store manager that I have made this one of the top things that I will deal with, even if it comes to me e-mailing HQ every day until they get rid of that horrible staff they have there

The time to negotiate price matching is BEFORE ordering

Your post makes it sound like this was a special order made in advance (no pun intended) by you, after which you went and got competing prices elsewhere. If that's the case, sorry, but you were wrong, and the guy who ordered it for you was put on the spot, stuck with a part he normally doesn't carry, that he had brought in for you in trust that you'd pay the pre-agreed price for. If your description of his attitude is genuine and you did not egg him on by being belligerent too, then yes, he was wrong in that, and so was the manager for not putting a muzzle on him, but you provoked the scene by being what sound like, a wise guy. You don't special order something normally not stocked and then pull the ole price match game after it comes in. Sorry, don't work that way.

Using your feet to leave this messy situation.

Either they have a price match policy or they don't.

It's hard to beat Advance's online pricing after the discounts.  Just watch out for the shipping scam.

If youve been going there regularly then they probably lost more than the price match would've.

You were not ripped off

"the employee who ordered the part for me"

They ordered a part for you but then you refused to pay the agreed price. It appears as though you ripped them off. He should not have been rude to you but you should not be posting a rip off report against them.

I was cursed at, insulted, and degraded in front of the the ORiellys staff and fellow customers

I went to O'Reillys auto parts in Hinesville, GA to get a part for my car. I found the part to be cheaper from several other locations, but since Ive been going to O'Reillys for a while now, I took the better pricing for them to price match.

Since I walked into the store, the problems started. I saw Jay, the employee who orginally ordered the part for me, and I greeted him saying hey whats going on friend! In turn Jay the employee responds, "Im not your friend." So I say "ok, can you please go get my part then." He returns with my part and sees I have the pricing sheet from Advanced Auto. Jay, the Oriellys employee says "oh no, Im not here to run your scam. He looks it up on his computer and says "Ill sell it at $95." I say no, the price at advanced auto is $78 and some change. He starts making a fuss about trying to help me, begins cursing, and then goes to accuse me of trying to scam O'Riellys and rip people off, stating that he (The employee at ORiellys) is going to be an "a**hole" to me and refuse me service.

This continues on, and Im not saying anything, and he go gets the assistant manager, who attempts to fix the problem. After the manager tries to fix it, he decided to not price match the product, even though advance did confirm the deal is legit and I am not scamming anyone, the manager attempted to sell it at full price. I told him to either price match it or Ill buy it from Advanced Auto.

While the manager and I are talking, the other employee, Jay, is continuing cursing saying "screw him, hes scamming us, Im not helping that "a**hole" out," and continues to say more, while other customers are there and there is about 5 other employees working. Noone said anything to him or attempted to stop him. At the end of it all, I did not buy it and just walked away.

After leaving, I called O'Reillys Headquarters complaint office. I told them what happened, and they just said they will contact the store manager. They did not even take my name or phone number.
