Oakwood Homes (aka) Vanderbilt Mortgage ripoff Maryville Tennessee
I was tired of renting, so I purchased my "first luxurious home" in February of 2000. What a bummer. I was told the floors were sturdy and the frame of the home was built by whomever. So excited I was to only find out, that after only a year the floors were caving in and the walls if you just touch them holes form.
I was a 27 year old SINGLE PARENT of two young boys at the time, my monthly income was approximately $1,000.00 and my mortgage was $480.00, yes, I agree I was young and dumb, in which I did want to get out of renting, but I never expected this.
Now my income is much greater and I dread every month to pay this monthly note, why, because my son has atleast 10 holes in his wall from simply being a boy, I also have atleast 4 areas in which my floors are sinking, I just recently changed the floor in my boys restroom, I mean this is ridiculous. And I Thank God for my trailer, but I am also praying to him to make another way for me dealing with this hell hole.
I strongly suggest to anyone in the web world who reads this report, warning, do not purchase a home with this company. Everyone in my area knows the problems I encounter with this home so to you out there beware-they are preying on people like you.
