I'm writing this for my daughter who has been sick. I was going over her purchase papers from Oakwood Homes. What a big ripoff.

She did not get the home she had picked out, she reminded them that the home they brought her was not the one she wanted but they insisted that it was since she had not seen it in two weeks. She filled out the papers for one that was 14x80. The one they brought her is a 14x70. Has an entirely different model no.

She paid a down payment but it shows up nowhere on her papers. Oakwood was to pay lawyers fees but they were never paid. She was to have and thought that she was paying on a 30yr. loan, no, it shows that she has a 20yr. loan

She was to be given a 30 day notice if Oakwood sold her loan to anyone else. She made her monthly payment to Oakwood, then she recieved a letter from Vanderbilt that she was behind on her payment. She had no idea who Vanderbilt was. They are rude, no contract, and uncaring people. Oakwood had her sign her contract in 5 min. in the middle of Books A Million. Whose pocket was lined with her money to Oakwood?

What they charged her for her home would now buy a brand new 2005 doublewide. Someone needs to step up and correct this now. I am her mother and this will not die without bloodshed and it will not be mine.
