I LIVE IN TALLAHASSEE FLORIDA I PURCHASED A MOBILE HOMES FROM OAKWOOD PRIOR TO THEM GOING BELLY UP (ONLY A WEEK PRIOR) BUT HOW EVER I PURCHASED IT AND THEY BROUGHT IT IN FROM ANOTHER CITY I TOLD THEM WHAT I WANTED AND THEY SAID THEY HAD ONE AVAILABLE IN ANOTHER CITY

SO WE WENT THREW ALL THE PAPER WORK THEY SHIPPED IT TO MY PROPERTY AND NOW ITS MANDATED BY VANDERBILT I WAS SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE HARRASEMENT AND PAYMENT CHANGES AND INTEREST CHANGEING JUST STEADILY GOING UP AND I SIGNED A FIXED RATE CONTRACT WHEN I BROUGHT THIS UP TO THE REP.

WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT IT THEY TO ME IT WAS NULL AND VOID AND THAT I WAS NOW UNDER THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS SO I AM NOW DONE WITH IT I'VE CONTACTED DEPT. OF BANKING AND FINANCE WHO MANDATE THEM I"VE CONTACTED VANDERBILT AND GOTTEN THE SURRENDER PAPER WORK

WHEN I WENT TO FILL THEM OUT I REALIZE MY HOMES SERIAL NUMBER DOESN'T MATCH MY CONTRACT SO I MAKE ANOTHER CALL TO VANDERBILT ABOUT THIS AND LET THEM KNOW THAT IT DOESN'T MATCH THEY SAY ITS ONLY A COUPLE DIGITS DIFFERENT AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THAT SO THAN I CONTACT D.M.V. WHO HANDLES THE TITLEING PROSESS THE REGISTRATION MATCHES THE CONTRACT WHICH DOESN'T MATCH THE HOME

SO ME AND MY HUSBAND GET UNDER THE HOME TO SEE IF THE SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE FRAME MATCH THE CONTRACT OR THE INTERIAL PANEL WELL TO OUR SURPRISE THEY HAVE BEEN GRINDED DOWN SO THEY ARE NOT EVEN LEGITABLE NOW I HAVE THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGANCY INVOLVED BECAUSE THE SERIAL NUMBER HAVE BEEN DEFACED WHICH IS A CRIME I PLAN ON CONTACTING AN ATTORNEY FOR THIS MATTER BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN $57,000.00 FROM ME ON A HOME THAT EVEN IF I DID PAY IT OFF WOULD NEVER BE MINE AND THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING INSURANCE COST OF $100.00 A MONTH FOR 6 YEARS FROM ME THAT HAD SOMETHING EVER HAPPENED IT WOULD NOT HAVE EVER BEEN COVERED

WELL ALL OF YOU GUYS CAN SIT BACK AND WRITE ALL YOU WANT ON THIS COMPUTER SCREEN AND LET THEM SCARE YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE AND NOT DO ANYTHING BUT I REFUSE TO DO THAT YES I MIGHT BE VENTING RITE NOW ON THIS SCREEN BUT I BEG YOU DIFFER I AM GONNA FIGHT THESE B@ST#ARDS WITH ALL THAT I HAVE AND NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME AND HOPEFULLY GET MY POINT ACROSS SO THEY CANT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYONE EVER AGAIN

I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OFF THE BIG WIGS WALKING ALL OVER THE HARD WORKING AMERICANS I AM A LOUD WOMAN WHEN I GET ANGRY AND I'M AGRY I WILL BE HEARD I WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE ON HERE BUT THAT'S GONNA BE FOR UPDATEING PURPOSE ONLY NOT TO VENT ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME BUT WHAT I HAVE DONE TO THEM THEY ARE NOT MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LAW !!! I HAVE THE LAW ON MY SIDE !!!!!

Contact the State Attorney General in Tennessee

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, January 10, 2008

I'm sure by now you have contacted an attorney and have discovered that Vanderbuilt is a client of every major law firm in every state it does business. A lawsuit may require a large up-front fee. You may have already been told that there is no federal law that has been violated (with the exception of a theft; perhaps). You must go through the state. Where you live, Vanderbuilts home State of Tenessee and/or Oakwood's in North Carolina.

I would suggest to you that while you are pursuing legal and criminal avenues; you also file a complaint with all 3 State Attorney General's offices. Make sure you send them copies of everything you have, including police reports. Make sure your complaint includes a sentence in which you specifically ask for their intervention. Privacy laws may prevent them otherwise.

At some point you will need to dispute your debt with Vanderbuilt to protect your credit and income while your legal action is being resolved. Start by sending them a letter of dispute such as this:

(Todays date)
(Your name and address)

RE: (account number)

(their address)

Dear (their name),
You are put on notice that the above referenced debt is disputed in it's entirety. I hereby request verification of the debt, and such verification is to consist of a copy of all contracts and agreements between parties, documentary proof of perfomance of the contracts by the creditor and all business records of the creditor concerning the alleged debt.
Pursuent to 15 U.S.C. 1692-1692p.
yours truly,
(your signature)

They may not comply. They may continue to harrass you. Greed does not give up easily. Just continue to forward copies of all correspondence (including your dispute letter) to the State Attorney General's and continue your legal and criminal pursuit.

note: 15 U.S.C. 1692-1692p is Federal Fair Debt Collection Law.
