Complaint Review: OAN Aka Affinity Marketing Partners

I was billed two months in a row for email charges I never authorized, let alone knew of. When I called OAN to complain I spoke with a young man in India. He had been coached to tell me that "someone" had put charges on my bill using the Internet. "It happens all the time," he said.
He removed the charges.

When I called Verizon to have the billing blocked in the future the representative treated my call as routine paperwork. She stated would make note of the "cramming" incident.

My biggest concern is the number of times I have paid this company false charges in the past. I know I have seen this OAN before but never knew what it was for. I always figured it was legitimate because it was attached to a bill from a major utility company. The only reason I caught the scam this time was because Clark Howard talked about it on his show yesterday!

I am interested in recovering back monies paid erroneously to this company. I would also like to see the major phone companies held accountable for legitimizing this illegal activity.

Please contact me for any class action suits which I can participate in. I am boiling mad. Like most people, I have earned every dollar I have made doing honest work, sometimes taking it out of my hide. It seems like someone should be headed for jail time here.
