I was charged with a "Operator Assisted Call" on my May 2004 phone bill. The collect call was made on March 30, 2004 from Othello, WA to CA.

I called Nationwide Conn. Inc. at 1-800-944-9646 on May 24 to report the incorrect charge. I was told the credit process would take 2 billing cycles as it had to be processed by their billing agents OAN Services. I do not know who OAN are, or Nationwide Conn. are, and I never accepted collect calls from WA (I don't know anyone up there!) It is now October 12 and I still don't have a credit on my phone bill. I called OAN Services, who transferred me to Nationwide, who blamed OAN for not processing the credit. I have never heard of either of these companies, but I think they are a scam.
