Complaint Review: OAN Services

On April 13, 2005, I received a bill for $4.89 on my Verizon bill for a company called OAN Services Inc. for a collect call. This was on my business phone and we are closed for lunch at the time the call reportedly came in. I called the billing number and explained that no one was in the office and the immediately agreed to remove the charge.

I then called Verizon to report this. The Verizon rep noted it on my account. I told her that I read about this company as a scammer and fraudulent from several sites I found in a search engine and asked her why Verizon would allow this company to put charges on my bill. I was told that some people actually use these companies and if I didn't want any from OAM I could have them blocked at no charge. I'd recommend all Verizon customers call to block OAM.
